Description

Position Summary: The Coats Company is seeking a Key Account Manager (KAM) who will report to the Senior Director of Sales. The KAM will develop, maintain, and expand the commercial relationship with existing large and multi-site strategic clients. Proactively contacting clients to maintain a consistent high level of corporate customer service. KAMs are frontline representatives for Coats and play an essential role in driving brand awareness, product interest, and customer engagement. Business Background: The Coats Company is headquartered in greater Nashville, TN. With facilities in the U.S., Canada, and abroad, Coats is one of the world’s foremost manufacturers of automotive aftermarket equipment. We are seeking talented innovators eager to be in the driver’s seat for an exciting digital transformation. Key Responsibilities: Work with executive team to strategize big picture for overall sales direction and support. Develop, assess and maintain strategies for successfully expanding Channel Sales and strategic partnerships, in addition to existing market segments. Create tactical plans and execute on these plans to deliver critical growth aligned with corporate strategy. Manage key customer relationships. Grow and develop existing clients, together with generating new business. Develop account plans and manage sales pipeline to achieve sales targets and drive successful results. Increase key account base by developing and maintaining a pipeline of prospective clients and leveraging a strong network of contacts.  Provide professional account management, product training, advertising programs and product and price administration programs to assigned National accounts with an emphasis on continuously increasing revenue. Monitor customer, market and competitor activity. Evaluate trends and competitive strategies. Develop accurate sales forecasts and reports that allow management to effectively capitalize on opportunities, manage issues and measure performance Develop and track key sales metrics for all growth initiatives. Monitor and report sales achievements for the executive management team Represent the organization favorably and in accordance with established Company standards at all times Travel up to 50% of the time both nationally and to corporate headquarters as required. Other duties as assigned by management Relationships: This position reports to the Senior Director of Sales. This individual will frequently interact with National/Direct accounts to maintain relationships with current customers and also develop/expand new revenue opportunities within current customer base and/or new potential customers. Required Qualifications: Sales skills and extensive knowledge of wheel service-related products and/or proven track record in the Automotive Aftermarket. Delivers results through strong account management and relationship building skills, as well as excellent time management and organizational skills. Excellent interpersonal skills, must be adaptable and able to interact and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization, including executive and C-level Prior experience working with National/Direct automotive accounts is a plus. (OEMs, national tire dealers, etc.) Excellent presentation skills, energetic, self-starter with strong work ethic and ability to inspire others. Must be adaptable and able to interact and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization. 5+ years of sales experience. Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Teams, Word, PowerPoint, Excel). Willingness and aptitude to learn new software systems and tools. Skill and experience in sales planning and selling techniques. Strong organizational and time management abilities. Preferred Qualifications:  Experience generating new revenue with new/existing accounts. BA/BS degree in Business, Marketing, or associated fields. Experience with SAP Sales Cloud and/or other CRM systems. Experience with AI tools. Benefits: Remote position 3 weeks paid vacation. Company laptop provided. Medical, Vision, and Dental Insurance.
