To learn more about our benefits click Here </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The Mendocino Companies (Mendocino Forest Products Company, Mendocino Redwood Company, Humboldt Redwood Company, Humboldt Sawmill Company, and Allweather Wood) own nearly 450,000 acres of Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC® C031337) certificated redwood and Douglas-fir timberland, constitute the largest waterborne wood treater in the Western USA, and is the largest producer of redwood lumber in the world. Collectively providing 950 employees and their families with excellent wages and benefits in communities throughout the Western USA. Additionally, the Mendocino Companies own and operate a 25-megaWatt biomass cogeneration power plant and wood pellet plant.  </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The Resaw Operator operates resaw equipment to process boards that do not meet specifications into boards of lesser thickness or width in accordance with work orders. This position is responsible for maintaining safe, efficient, and productive machine operation while ensuring compliance with quality and production standards.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>Duties and Responsibilities</strong></p>\n<p>To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or abilities required. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Operate the resaw to cut boards that do not meet specifications into boards of lesser thickness or width according to work orders in a safe and productive manner.</li>\n <li>Observe lumber on conveyors as it approaches the saw to determine the appropriate cut to be made.</li>\n <li>Select the correct saw settings for thickness, width, and infeed roll speed.</li>\n <li>Monitor the automatic feeding of lumber into the saw and manually guide the end of the lumber into feed rolls when necessary.</li>\n <li>Change saw blades and guides daily to maintain safe and efficient operation.</li>\n <li>Perform other duties and tasks as assigned.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred. </li>\n <li>30–60 days of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. </li>\n <li>Ability to read and understand documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. </li>\n <li>Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Physical Demands:</strong></p>\n<p>The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
