Description
About the Role:
The Insurance Coordinator plays a critical role in managing and facilitating the insurance processes within our organization, ensuring seamless communication between clients, insurance providers, and internal teams. This position is responsible for verifying insurance coverage, processing claims, and maintaining accurate records to support timely reimbursements and compliance with regulatory requirements. The Insurance Coordinator acts as a liaison to resolve any discrepancies or issues related to insurance policies and claims, thereby minimizing delays and enhancing client satisfaction. By maintaining up-to-date knowledge of insurance policies and industry regulations, the coordinator ensures that all procedures align with current standards and best practices. Ultimately, this role supports the financial health of the organization by optimizing insurance-related workflows and fostering strong relationships with insurance carriers and clients alike.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree or higher preferred. Minimum of 2 years experience in insurance coordination, medical billing, or a related administrative role. Proficiency with insurance claim processing and familiarity with insurance terminology. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with healthcare insurance systems and electronic medical records (EMR). Knowledge of state and federal insurance regulations applicable to the healthcare industry. Certification in insurance billing or coding (e.g., CPC, CIC) is a plus. Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and insurance management software. Responsibilities:
