Monitor crew for personal and safety needs at community based contracts throughout work schedule.</p><p>&bull; Works directly with the clients in implementing the program.</p><p>&bull; Directs and supervises the program staff in executing the program.</p><p>&bull; Acquire skill to assist and complete duties at each contract site to include all janitorial skills.</p><p>&bull; Responsible for assisting with documentation per program requirements.</p><p>&bull; Serves as a role model for clients.</p><p>&bull; Maintain professional conduct and relations with clients, families, agency personnel, and contract liaisons.</p><p>&bull; Responsible for transportation and supervision of clients.</p><p>&bull; Assists clients as needed with self-help skills.</p><p>&bull; Must be insurable as a driver for the agency.</p><p>&bull; Ability to assist clients on or off the vehicles to include clients with wheelchairs.</p><p>&bull; Ability to check oil and vehicles fluids. Report appropriate repairs to appropriate supervisor.</p><p>&bull; Supervise crew insuring completion of work at each contact daily.</p><p>&bull; Become familiar with emergency procedures and the ability to follow2 through with required action including verbal and physical response.</p><p>&bull; May represent Little Creek Services and The Arc at various meetings, community activities, etc.</p><p>&bull; Ability to read, writes, understand and effectively communicate the English language. Ability to communicate safety precautions and demonstrate precautions to the clients in a continuous manner.</p><p>&bull; Ability to recognize dangerous settings and respond appropriately.</p><p>&bull; Ability to maintain supervision of the clients.</p><p>&bull; Comply with training polices as scheduled.</p><p>&bull; Performs other duties that may be required by the Director and Assistant Director.</p><p><strong><u>REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES</u></strong></p><p>&bull; Understanding of persons with mental disabilities. Gain knowledge of the program, agency policies, and clients.</p><p>&bull; Ability to work effectively with people. Maintain positive and professional relations with the clients and their families.</p><p>&bull; Ability to adapt to new environments, clients, and change of daily work schedules.</p><p>&bull; Treat clients with dignity and respect.
