Kelvion &ndash; Together, We Shape the Future</p><p><strong>The Role</strong></p><p>Responsible for overseeing the Quality Control Department in all aspects i.e., supervisory, quality, maintenance, accountability, etc.</p><p>Tests and inspects products at various stages of production process and compiles and evaluates statistical data to determine and maintain quality and reliability of products by performing the following duties.</p><p><strong>What you will be responsible for:</strong></p><ul><li>Supervisor will be on the floor providing supervision and working with material/product 80% of time, 20% office duty.</li><li>Maintain department housekeeping.</li><li>Training of all quality Inspectors</li><li>Perform other related duties as directed.</li><li>Create a positive team atmosphere within the department.</li><li>Provide leadership by example to the departmental team</li><li>Responsibilities, as assigned by the Quality Manager, will include planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.</li><li>Carries out inspection and test activities in accordance with established quality plans, engineering specifications, and procedures to determine the specified requirements for the product have been met.</li><li>Performs dimensional and visual inspection and/or testing of materials and products to determine compliance.</li><li>Records the results, which provide evidence that the product has been inspected and/or tested.</li><li>These records should show clearly whether the product has passed or failed in accordance with established criteria.</li><li>The supervisor is required to handle any nonconforming product in accordance with established work instructions and other quality system procedures.</li><li>Must be able to read and interpret Engineering drawings and Customer specifications.</li><li>Must have working knowledge of all industry welding codes and standards.</li><li>Working knowledge of Nondestructive Examinations, and Powder Coating.</li><li>Must be able to use a variety of precision and non-precision inspection and test equipment.</li><li>Inspector is expected to interface with Manufacturing and Engineering personnel and provide support, if necessary, in interpreting and defining product quality criteria.</li><li>This position may also require operating overhead or jib crane.</li><li>Regular attendance, ability to arrive at work punctually, ability to work on&ndash;site, ability to work overtime.</li><li>Ability to work cooperatively with others, ability to deal respectfully with the public, customers, vendors, other employees, managers, and executive management.</li><li>Ability to perform multiple tasks concurrently, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, ability to interchange with others in the department.</li><li>Performance Standards:</li><li>Safety incident free department.</li><li>Perform assigned work in accordance with productivity standards.</li><li>Monitors and maintains established metrics including, but not limited to, Delivery Accuracy, Safety and Inventory Accuracy</li><li>Correctly identifies and segregates non-compliant material.</li><li>Creates and submits cost reduction ideas.</li><li>Performs all duties in compliance with all safety standards.</li><li>Autonomy/Accountability:</li><li>Performs duties with little supervision. Accountable for the safe working conditions of their work area.</li></ul><p><strong><u>SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES</u></strong></p><ul><li>Responsible for overseeing the Quality Control Department in all aspects, i.e., supervisory, quality, maintenance, accountability, etc.</li></ul><p><strong><u>COMPETENCY OR POSITION REQUIREMENTS (knowledge, skills, and abilities)</u></strong></p><ul><li>Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, memos, and procedure manuals in English.&nbsp;</li><li>Ability to write simple correspondence in English.&nbsp;</li><li>Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.</li><li>Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.&nbsp;</li><li>Ability to compute percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.</li><li>Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.</li></ul><p><strong><u>EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE (required levels)</u></strong></p><ul><li>High school diploma or GED. Minimum of five (5) years of experience as a Quality Control Supervisor. Experience with calibration of inspection and test equipment preferred.
