Description

Position Overview The Kitchen Refacing Technician Assistant plays a critical role in delivering a 5‑Star customer experience by performing high‑quality kitchen cabinet refacing installations under the supervision of the Kitchen Refacing Technician in customers’ homes. This position is responsible for executing refacing projects safely, efficiently, and to company quality standards while maintaining professionalism and strong customer communication throughout the installation process. Essential Job Functions To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily under the supervision of the Kitchen Refacing Technician: Perform kitchen cabinet refacing installations including doors, drawer fronts, panels, trim, hardware, and related components Remove and prepare existing cabinet surfaces for refacing Accurately measure, cut, fit, and install materials to ensure proper alignment and finish Install hinges, handles, drawer slides, and other hardware per specifications Protect customer property and maintain a clean, safe jobsite at all times Identify and communicate job issues, material shortages, or scope discrepancies to management promptly Take clear jobsite photos and upload them to Company Cam (or similar platform) as required Complete installations on schedule while maintaining quality standards Load, transport, and unload materials and tools as needed Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and installation standards Always Represent the company professionally (appearance, communication, and conduct) Required Skills & Competencies Working knowledge of cabinet installation, finish carpentry, and residential remodeling Ability to read job documentation, measurements, and installation specifications Proficiency with hand and power tools used in cabinet and trim installation High attention to detail and craftsmanship Strong customer service and communication skills Ability to work independently while coordinating with operations and warehouse teams Dependable, punctual, and schedule‑driven Comfortable using mobile devices (smartphone, iPad) for job documentation and communication Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 75 lbs Ability to stand, bend, kneel, climb, and work in confined spaces for extended periods Ability to work with ladders and power tools safely Qualifications / Experience 2+ years of hands‑on experience in cabinet installation and/or finish carpentry Cabinet refacing experience a plus Residential remodeling experience required Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation Ability to pass background and drug screening (if applicable) What We Offer Full‑time W‑2 employment Competitive hourly pay (plus potential performance incentives, if applicable) Overtime available Consistent work volume State-of-the-art technology tools and resources Company‑provided materials and support Growth opportunities with a stable, established remodeling company Professional, team‑oriented work environment Generous time-off benefits, including company Holidays Health, Dental, Life insurance options 401K Retirement Savings Backing of 37-year-old proven Industry leader Collaborative, driven, entrepreneurial environment About ImproveIt Home Remodeling: Serving the needs of homeowners for 37-years, Improveit!
