IPSV handles all felony sexual assault prosecutions in Manhattan where the victims are 14 years or older and cases involving Intimate Partner Violence. The Bureau’s experienced, specially trained prosecutors strive to bring the strongest prosecutions for victims of these heinous crimes. In this position, the Analyst will provide a wide range of support to the Assistant District Attorneys (ADAs) prosecuting these crimes.</span></p>\n<p><span><strong><u>Responsibilities include but are not limited to:</u></strong></span></p>\n<ul>\n <li><span>Assist ADAs in all aspects of investigations and trials.</span></li>\n <li><span>Take notes on victim and witness interviews and proffers with defendants in IPSV cases.</span></li>\n <li><span>Investigate cases: generate subpoenas; obtain evidence; review and analyze documents; conduct searches of online databases for probative information.</span></li>\n <li><span>Compile and analyze discovery in cases.</span></li>\n <li><span>Track, centralize, and organize unit data, records, and statistics.</span></li>\n <li><span>Draft correspondence and legal documents.</span></li>\n <li><span>Prepare exhibits and evidence for Grand Jury and trial.</span></li>\n <li><span>Perform related administrative and clerical tasks.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span><strong><u>In addition to the Minimum Qualification Requirements, candidates must possess the following:</u></strong></span></p>\n<ul>\n <li><span>Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college required or expected by candidate's start date.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span><strong><u>Preferred Requirements/Skills:</u></strong></span></p>\n<ul>\n <li><span>Excellent organization, communication, writing, and problem-solving skills are essential.</span></li>\n <li><span>Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access).</span></li>\n <li><span>Detail-oriented with the ability to follow directions and apply proper policies, procedures, and guidelines.</span></li>\n <li><span>Ability to learn, update and edit existing proprietary applications and quickly learn and use various computer systems.</span></li>\n <li><span>Ability to work independently with frequent interruptions, manage deadlines, keep track of ongoing assignments, and adapt to changes in workflow.</span></li>\n <li><span>Comfort working in a team.</span></li>\n <li><span>Strong attention to detail and high concern for data accuracy.</span></li>\n <li><span>Ability to interact and communicate with all levels of staff, court representatives, law enforcement representatives and witnesses.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span><strong><u>How to Apply:&nbsp;</u></strong></span></p>\n<ul>\n <li><span>Apply with a Cover Letter and Resume.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span><strong><u>Hours/Shift:</u></strong></span></p>\n<ul>\n <li><span>Monday – Friday, from 9:00 am – 5:00 pm.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span><strong><u>Additional Information:</u></strong></span></p>\n<ul>\n <li><span><strong>Current office employees:</strong>&nbsp;To be eligible for a transfer or promotion, staff must have already served at least one (1) year in their current unit/bureau/department and be in good standing.
