primarily responsible for providing leadership and direction in theory and laboratory activities of the specific instructional components relating to the student’s educational goals.  Instructors develop curricula and materials that respond to the workplace competencies for employment as an outcome for students.  The instructor is directly responsible to the Dean of Instruction.  General responsibilities include academic instruction with students, advising students, planning, leadership, and professional involvement including professional associations and community service.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 16px; font-weight: bold\">Minimum Qualifications</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate) required</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">An Associate or Bachelor’s degree in a related field required, depending on the field</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Master’s Degree in the field or Master’s Degree plus 18 graduate hours in the field for General Education Instructors</span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Two years of work experience in the specific occupational field</span><span style=\"font-size: 15px\"> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Required knowledge in the operation of related instructional equipment</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Desire to teach students through the teaching-learning process  </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Knowledgeable of the availability of teaching-learning resources</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Good oral/verbal communication skills </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Basic computer knowledge/skills required</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Employment is dependent on a pre-employment background and frequently climb stairs, ladders, crouch, squat or crawl</span></li>\n<li><span>Will use hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls</span></li>\n<li><span>Potential/frequent exposure to and use of chemical products</span></li>\n<li><span>Frequent use of power tools</span></li>\n<li><span>Occasionally work in extremely hot or extremely cold conditions, and movement between member</span></li>\n<li><span>Organizes advisory committee meetings as an ex-officio member</span></li>\n<li><span>Keeps the classrooms, shops and laboratories in order</span></li>\n<li><span>Assists in planning annual budget requests</span></li>\n<li><span>Strives to maintain good public relations</span></li>\n<li><span>Enforces College policies</span></li>\n<li><span>Assists with the evaluation of internship placements</span></li>\n<li><span>Promotes student development</span></li>\n<li><span>Maintains student progress and records</span></li>\n<li><span>Evaluates student performance</span></li>\n<li><span>Monitors the need for changing program specialization to ensure the curriculum is current and appropriate</span></li>\n<li><span>Accurately assesses student learning
