Founding Engineer ($225k+ + Equity) at well-funded healthcare AI startup Company Description: Well-funded healthcare AI startup Job Description: You will build the hardware and software ecosystem required to run real-time AI inside clinical settings. By overcoming infrastructure constraints like power and cooling, you will move V1 from prototype to production. This role involves defining a new category of edge compute that puts intelligence directly in the exam room. Why this role is remarkable: You will be one of the first ten employees, joining a pre-seed team currently closing a seed round from top-tier VCs. This is a rare opportunity to build a full-stack hardware and software ecosystem from scratch for a June 2026 launch. You will own the entire technical stack, making critical architectural decisions that define how AI interacts with physicians in real-time. What you will do: Design and deploy systems orchestration, containerization, and firmware pipelines for high-performance compute in non-datacenter environments. Optimize GPU acceleration and CUDA kernels to maintain sustained AI workloads under strict power and cooling constraints. Build and manage production-grade RAG pipelines and distributed systems that ensure reliability during critical clinical decision-making. The ideal candidate: Has 5-7 years of experience at top-tier tech companies, with a history of rapid promotions and ownership of complex systems. Possesses deep expertise in at least two areas: GPU/CUDA acceleration, distributed systems, RAG/LLM pipelines, or 3D graphics.
