    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>Position provides medical, health and safety services to employees within established protocols, and administers immunizations when necessary.  The Occupational Health Nurse regularly performs a variety of additional duties including: scheduling pre-employment/post –offer physicals including blood work, vision testing and drug screening; ordering and maintaining sufficient quantities of necessary medical supplies; and maintaining employee medical records. The OHN coordinates the completion of Worker’s Compensation reports and performs special projects as assigned. Brings any questions or concerns regarding compliance to the immediate attention of department or hospital administrative staff.</p>\n<p>·         Assists with project plans including scheduling, expenses, personnel matters and other operational concerns for occupational health services.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Development & Education:</strong></p>\n<p>·         Identifies existing and monitors local regulations that impact facility Occupational Health systems.</p>\n<p>·         Provide community outreach clinics and services as requested.</p>\n<p>·         Assist with marketing services and program evaluation as necessary.</p>\n<p>·         Maintains professional growth and development through participation in seminars, educational programs, current literature, workshops, and professional affiliations to keep abreast of latest trends in field of expertise.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Basic UPH Performance Criteria           </strong></p>\n<p>·         Demonstrates the UnityPoint Health Values and Standards of Behaviors as well as adheres to policies and procedures and safety guidelines.</p>\n<p>·         Demonstrates ability to meet business needs of department with regular, reliable attendance.</p>\n<p>·         Employee maintains current licenses and/or certifications required for the position.</p>\n<p>·         Practices and reflects knowledge of HIPAA, DIA, OSHA and other federal/state regulatory agencies guiding healthcare.</p>\n<p>·         Completes all annual education and competency requirements within the calendar year.</p>\n<p>·         Is knowledgeable of hospital and department compliance requirements for federally funded healthcare programs (e.g. Medicare and Medicaid) regarding fraud, waste and abuse.  Brings any questions or concerns regarding compliance to the immediate attention of hospital administrative staff.  Takes appropriate action on concerns reported by department staff related to compliance.</p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Licensed RN in State of Iowa</li>\n <li>2-3 years of clinical nursing experience</li>\n <li>Current CPR certification</li>\n</ul>",
