Your role will be to support Commercial best practice to maximise value and minimise risk and cost for both Lanes Group Ltd and our customers. Accurately value works undertaken and where necessary provide records to substantiate cost, ensure change control process is managed effectively in both Main and Subcontract. font-weight: bold\">Responsibilities – but not limited to:</span></p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Review Commercial processes to ensure they stay relevant and make recommendations for necessary changes.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Contractual knowledge to communicate with relevant parties ensure understanding the terms of project/contract.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Work efficiently and calmly to tight deadlines or other stress factors as they arise.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Ensure maximum recovery of all contractual entitlements.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Use of performance data to identify opportunities and implement commercial processes to ensure contractual entitlements and opportunities are realised.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Support Operational team in daily commercial and contractual aspect.</span></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Ensuring proper contractual administration of contract/project assigned, including value and cost control, and maintenance of contemporaneous records.</span></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Accurately value works undertaken and where necessary provide records to substantiate cost to allow prompt issue of Application for payment/invoice in line with contractual timescales.</span></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Ensure change control process is managed effectively, including production of Early Warnings/Variations, maximizing entitlement.</span></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Preparation of financial statements in respect to projects/contracts assigned, working with operational teams to confirm understanding of financial position, proactively instilling commercial awareness throughout the wider business.</span></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Support development of individuals within the commercial team.</span></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Accepts extra duties as situations arise.</span></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Management of Subcontract Accounts.</span></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Able to travel and spend occasional nights away.</span></span></li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif; font-weight: bold\">Skills and behaviours:</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">HNC in Quantity Surveying or similar</span></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Undergraduate degree in Quantity Surveying or similar advantageous</span></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Minimum 5 years’ experience in utilities or civils industry desirable</span></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Experience in QS role</span></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Good knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of products, excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel</span></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Strong commercial and financial acumen</span></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Strong knowledge of contracts</span></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Strong desire to maintain client relationships whilst not compromising contractual entitlement</span></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Strong communication and interpersonal skills</span></span></li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Inter, sans-serif;
