A career in in Fidelity's Data and AI&nbsp; (FDAI group) group may be right for you!</p><p>We are seeking a Software Engineer build and maintain Unified Customer Profile (UCP) platform in the UCP Platform Vitality Squad. You will apply a variety of cloud-native (AWS and Snowflake) technologies to develop pipelines to inject and publish data from and to other teams. This position is a critical element to delivering Fidelity’s promise of creating the best customer experiences in financial services.</p><br /><p><b>The Expertise we’re looking for</b></p><br /><ul><li>Bachelor’s or Masters’ Degree in a technology related field (Engineering, Computer Science, etc.)</li><li>Oracle SQL, PLSQL development experience</li><li>Knowledge and understanding in other Relational Databases (PostgreSQL, Mysql etc.). Knowledge and experience in NoSQL databases (DynamoDB, Elastic search, Graph DB, etc.) will be an added advantage.</li><li>Knowledge and experience in Agile methodologies (Kanban and SCRUM)</li><li>DevOps, Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (Maven, Jenkins, Stash, Ansible, Docker)</li><li>Knowledge and understanding of Messaging Technologies (Kafka, Kinesis, SNS, SQS)</li><li>Knowledge and experience / understanding in Java API development</li><li>Knowledge of how to develop highly scalable distributed systems using Open-Source technologies</li></ul><br /><p><b>The Skills that are Key to this role</b></p><br /><p>The Engineer is responsible for designing and developing of highly available, scalable and distributed customer data platforms</p><ul><li>Good understanding of Oracle database with hands-on PLSQL development experience</li><li>Good working knowledge on developing and debugging ETL resources</li><li>Knowledge of Cloud Datawarehouse products like Snowflake is desirable.</li><li>Knowledge and experience in NoSQL databases (DynamoDB, Elastic search, Graph DB, etc.) and cloud services (AWS / Azure / Google Cloud) will be an added advantage.</li><li>Experience with DevOps or CI/CD Pipelines using Maven, Jenkins, uDeploy, Stash, Ansible, etc.</li><li>Hands-on experience building highly resilient, scalable, and efficient customer facing solutions on AWS</li><li>Proven knowledge of AWS via Associate, Professional, or Specialty Certification(s) a big plus</li><li>Knowledge of financial markets will be desirable.</li><li>You will need to demonstrate the ability to recognize the urgency of issues and take appropriate steps to mitigate risks.</li><li>Ability to deal with ambiguity and work in fast paced environment</li><li>Excellent communication skills, both through written and verbal channels</li><li>Excellent collaboration skills to work with multiple teams in the organization</li><li>Standout colleague and able to mentor junior team members</li></ul><br /><p><b>The Value You Deliver</b></p><br /><ul><li>Develop code in Oracle and other streaming RDBMS databases including debugging existing code and designing and executing unit tests.</li><li>Develop containerized, cloud native applications.</li><li>Create, update, and maintain user documentation for software-based projects and products.</li><li>Interact effectively with business partners to understand business requirements and assist in creation of technical requirements.</li><li>Participate in architecture, technical design, and product implementation discussions.</li><li></li></ul><p><b>How Your Work Impacts the Organization</b></p><br /><p><i><b>You will be joining the </b></i>UCP Platform Vitality team in the Unified Customer Profile (UCP) platform<i><b> team with the vision to create/ maintain the frameworks and pipelines necessary to build a cloud-ready platform and to optimize core capabilities that will enable scalability, efficiency, and speed-to-market for adding new features to the platform.
