Our Officers are responsible for providing professional customer-focused security and life safety services for the people and the property they protect.</p>\n<p><strong>Location: </strong></p>\n<p>Luxury Corporate Office Center </p>\n<p>Western Suburbs - Oak Brook, Schaumburg, Rosemont </p>\n<h2>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Must have open scheduling availability to work mornings (1st shifts), evenings (2nd shifts), and overnights (3rd shifts) as scheduled by manager including weekends </li>\n <li>Maintain a professional demeanor, aiding customers, employees, visitors, and guests</li>\n <li>Maintain a visible presence in the facility / building assigned</li>\n <li>Monitor the environment, with the ability to detect suspicious and unsafe activity</li>\n <li>Responsible for becoming familiar with incoming and outgoing traffic, know the customers, tenants, visitors, and guests</li>\n <li>Greet customers, visitors, staff, tenants, guests in a professional manner always</li>\n <li>Answer all phones in a professional manner</li>\n <li>Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitor entrances and exits</li>\n <li>Know the facility / building policies and procedures; enforce them within the limits of the position</li>\n <li>Perform required patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle</li>\n <li>Observe departing personnel to protect against the theft of company property and ensure authorized removal of property is conducted within appropriate customer requirements</li>\n <li>Follow established emergency action planning and procedures</li>\n <li>Monitor alarms and systems </li>\n <li>Prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities, as directed</li>\n</ul>\n<p>The essential duties and responsibilities may differ by customer location assigned</p>\n<h2>Knowledge and Skill Requirements</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Must have open scheduling availability to work mornings (1st shifts), evenings (2nd shifts), and overnights (3rd shifts) as scheduled by manager including weekends </li>\n <li>Must be available to work a rotating flex schedule </li>\n <li>20 Hour Security Training Certificate </li>\n <li>Active PERC Card</li>\n <li>Must have reliable means of communication and transportation - Personal transportation is needed as public transportation is not reliable in the area </li>\n <li>Strong interpersonal communication skills and neat and professional appearance</li>\n <li>Write routine correspondence, to include log entries and incident reporting</li>\n <li>Previous contract security, law enforcement, military, customer service experience helpful</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Compensation</h2>\n<p>Harvard Protection Services offers a competitive hourly pay rate with health & welfare, dental, vision, sick leave, vacation, and 401K enrollment benefit opportunities.</p>\n<p><strong>About Harvard Protection Services: </strong></p>\n<p>Harvard Protection Services maintains true to our long-standing belief, Employees First and Customer Service.
