Fresh perspectives, tools, and programs are always welcome.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">What You'll do:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Design, build, and maintain highly scalable and resilient backend services using Scala.</li>\n<li>Develop event-driven, distributed systems leveraging Akka and Kafka. </li>\n<li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features that deliver real product value.</li>\n<li>Contribute to architectural decisions and continuously evolve our backend stack with new tools and best practices.</li>\n<li>Troubleshoot production issues, optimize system performance, and proactively drive improvements.</li>\n<li>Share knowledge with teammates, mentor junior developers, and help raise the technical bar across the team</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Please note that participation in an on-call rotation every 4-6 weeks will be required for this role after the initial onboarding period.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">What You'll bring:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Scala: Proficiency and hands-on experience.</li>\n<li>Akka/Pekko: Building resilient distributed event-driven systems is second nature to you. </li>\n<li>Experience working with Kafka, including event streaming, messaging patterns, and integration into microservices.</li>\n<li>At least 3 years of proven experience in Scala or project management.</li>\n<li>Product-minded: You think in terms of impact, user value, and business outcomes.</li>\n<li>A strong communicator: You’re able to explain both technical and product concepts clearly.</li>\n<li>You thrive in ambiguity: When requirements are unclear, you ask the right questions, align with stakeholders, and find a way forward.</li>\n<li>Organized and proactive: You take ownership and keep things moving.</li>\n<li>Collaborative: You enjoy working closely with engineers, designers, and stakeholders.</li>\n<li>Proficiency in professional-level English communication, both written and verbal.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Nice to have:</span></p>\n<p><em>Please note</em>, these aren’t requirements, just things we think would be particularly valuable.
