This role supports production flow by ensuring products are assembled correctly, defects are identified and communicated, and finished goods are packaged professionally and efficiently. The Assembly Technician plays a critical role in maintaining safety, quality, productivity, and on-time delivery performance.</p><p><br></p><p>&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Essential Duties &amp; Responsibilities</strong></p><p><br></p><p><strong>Safety</strong></p><ul><li>Follow all company safety procedures and PPE requirements.</li><li>Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area.</li><li>Safely operate assembly tools, hand tools, power tools, carts, and material handling equipment.</li><li>Report unsafe conditions, equipment issues, or near misses immediately.</li><li>Participate in safety meetings and continuous improvement activities.</li></ul><p><strong>Assembly &amp; Production</strong></p><ul><li>Assemble products and components according to prints, work instructions, and production requirements.</li><li>Verify correct materials, parts, hardware, and accessories are used during assembly.</li><li>Perform fit-up and alignment checks to ensure products meet dimensional and appearance standards.</li><li>Assist with staging materials and moving work-in-process to the next operation.</li><li>Maintain production flow and support departmental throughput goals.</li><li>Accurately complete required production documentation and travelers.</li></ul><p><strong>Quality</strong></p><ul><li>Perform visual and functional inspections during and after assembly.</li><li>Identify defects, missing components, damaged parts, or incorrect configurations before shipment.</li><li>Communicate quality concerns to leadership immediately.</li><li>Support first-piece inspections and corrective actions when required.</li><li>Maintain high workmanship standards and attention to detail.</li></ul><p><strong>Packaging &amp; Shipping Support</strong></p><ul><li>Properly package finished goods to prevent shipping damage.</li><li>Label products and packages accurately according to shipping requirements.</li><li>Assist with loading, staging, and preparing orders for shipment.</li><li>Ensure packaging materials and finished products meet customer expectations.</li></ul><p><strong>Teamwork &amp; Continuous Improvement</strong></p><ul><li>Work cooperatively with supervisors, welders, material handlers, quality personnel, and other departments.</li><li>Maintain a positive attitude and willingness to support changing production priorities.</li><li>Participate in process improvement and housekeeping initiatives.</li><li>Cross-train in multiple production areas as needed.</li></ul>",
