The Patient Referral Specialist is responsible for managing the intake and referral process for patients. The ideal candidate will excel in providing exceptional customer service while efficiently handling inbound and outbound referrals, verifying patient eligibility, coordinating medical and administrative staff, and ensuring a seamless experience for patients. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a Patient Referral Specialist to join our team and support our mission.&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Essential Duties:&nbsp;</strong></p><ul><li>Receive, review, and process new patient and established patient referrals from healthcare providers and other referral sources.&nbsp;</li><li>Communicate with referring providers to obtain complete and accurate referral documentation.&nbsp;</li><li>Enter patient referral information into the EMR system and ensure all necessary data is recorded.&nbsp;</li><li>Schedule appointments.</li><li>Contact review organizations and insurance companies to ensure prior approval requirements are met and enter copays and insurance information into eCW.&nbsp;</li><li>Check for and obtain authorizations before scheduling appointments.&nbsp;</li><li>Contact insurance companies to verify patient plans and coverage options.&nbsp;</li><li>Gather information concerning patient&rsquo;s clinical background and referral needs.&nbsp;</li><li>Review details and expectations about the referral with patients.</li><li>Answer phone calls and speak with patients about appointment openings, cancellations, and referrals.&nbsp;</li><li>Perform referrals through P2P for MIPS.&nbsp;</li><li>Comply with HIPPA and other privacy regulations to ensure the confidentiality of patient information.&nbsp;</li><li>Assist with other administrative tasks as assigned by management.&nbsp;</li><li>Other duties as assigned.
