Candidates will be trained in Quality Control systems, Electric Boat procedures applicable to the work they are performing and Quality Department Instructions. Candidates must work in a collaborative environment to meet all company and organizational goals.  This position is to be part of the new Embedded Team in Mobile, AL building missile compartment decks, foundation, tanks etc.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>All successful candidates will be required to maintain a Magnetic Particle certification. Further opportunity for inspection disciplines such as Liquid Penetrant, Pre-Test, Electrical, Mechanical, etc. may be made available once proficiency has been achieved and maintained in Magnetic Particle.  Candidates must successfully pass all Mock Audits and oversights to maintain certification.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Successful candidates will embody the Electric Boats Core Values, work safely, be responsible for themselves, their peers, the ship and crew who will operate our vessel. This position requires inspectors who perform with integrity and purpose.  Our sailors and their families deserve excellence in our workmanship and first-time quality.We are the last line of defense for the integrity of our product.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>This position is located in St. Marys, GA and Jacksonville, FL.</strong> Relocation package will be offered with position to eligible candidates.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The successful candidate must be able to work all shifts, extended week days and weekends, and travel to offsite locations as needed.  The shift will need to be flexible at times to support priority work.</p>\n<p>This is to support the workload for each site under (travel could be 1 week to a few months at a time).</p>\n<p>Travel will be decided by the job and EWA or business travel will be used. Travel expectancy will be 50%.</p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p>Required:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>High School Diploma or Equivalent OR 2 plus years of related technical experience</li>\n <li>Must be able to obtain & maintain an MT, PT, or ET certification.</li>\n <li>Must be able to attain a key department qualification/certification within the first six months after starting as a Quality Inspector.</li>\n <li>Ability to work at heights, tightly confined spaces and in extreme weather conditions.</li>\n <li>Ability to grind joints and clear indications as needed throughout inspection process.</li>\n <li>Ability to interpret technical manuals, shipyard procedures, test documents, blueprints, weld symbols and diagrams.</li>\n <li>Accurate documentation, record keeping, and archiving along with verifying previous status of work for completion is a critical job function.</li>\n <li>Possess your own basic hand tools.</li>\n <li>Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance through the Department of War.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Preferred:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Non-destructive testing experience.</li>\n <li>Inspection/quality assurance experience.</li>\n <li>Mechanical and Electrical experience.</li>\n <li>Pipe hanger installation experience.</li>\n <li>Structural experience.</li>\n <li>Knowledge of shipboard assemblies, installations, components, and structures.</li>\n <li>Metal fabrication, welding experience.</li>\n <li>Military shipbuilding experience.</li>\n <li>Completion of Vocational, Technical and Community Colleges or Apprentice programs.</li>\n <li>Related military/Navy experience.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Skills</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to maintaining the highest quality standards.</li>\n <li>Effective note-taking and documentation skills.</li>\n <li>Adaptability to switch from one job to another as business needs dictate.</li>\n <li>Strong verbal and written communication skills.</li>\n <li>Ability to work in a collaborative and team environment to meet organizational goals.</li>\n <li>Positive, self-motivated attitude with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.</li>\n <li>Basic mathematical skills.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Physical Qualifications</h2>Climbing, Color Vision, Crawling, Kneeling, Light Lifting, Medium Lifting, Pulling, Pushing, Reaching, Stooping, Twisting\n<h2>Environmental Attributes</h2>Acids or Alkalis, Cold, Dry, Dusty, Fumes, Hot, Inside, Noise, Oily, Outside, Wet",
