This role owns the full lifecycle of the infrastructure environment including VMware virtualization, Cisco UCS compute, Dell EMC storage, and Cohesity backup systems across the primary datacenter and secondary sites. Beyond day-to-day operations, this person is expected to assess the current state of the environment, identify gaps and risks, recommend modernization and improvement strategies, and lead execution of those initiatives.
