    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p>This position will be a member of the NOV Corporate Procurement Team based in Houston, Texas.&nbsp; The&nbsp;<strong>Procurement Category Manager</strong>&nbsp;is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing strategic sourcing initiatives across the organization.&nbsp; The position shall work closely with NOV site personnel as well as&nbsp;manufacturers and distributors to bring value to the organization.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; The successful candidate will possess an understanding of supply chain fundamentals, a strong work ethic and be a self-starter with the ability to bring complex projects to conclusion.</p>\n<p>&nbsp;<strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Develop and implement comprehensive procurement strategies for assigned category(s) with initial focus on Security and Temp Labor</li>\n <li>Conduct market research and supplier analysis to identify cost-savings opportunities</li>\n <li>Prepare and execute RFQ’s and RFP’s</li>\n <li>Negotiate contracts and manage supplier relationships (including but not limit to; Negotiation of pricing, discount structures and commercial terms.)</li>\n <li>Analyze spending patterns and develop strategic sourcing plans</li>\n <li>Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand business needs</li>\n <li>Track and report on key procurement performance metrics</li>\n <li>Perform other work-related task as assigned</li>\n <li>Comply with all NOV policies and procedures</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong><u>Key Skill Set</u>:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Self-Driven and Results-Oriented</li>\n <li>Ability to review and comprehend contracts &nbsp;</li>\n <li>Critical and strategic thinking</li>\n <li>Ability to Identify both Opportunities and Risk</li>\n <li>Superior Communication Skills</li>\n <li>Consensus Builder, Team Builder and Collaborator</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong><u>Qualifications</u>:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Four Year Bachelor’s Degree</li>\n <li>10+ years experience in Supply Chain, Procurement, or a Senior Buyer role</li>\n <li>Prior procurement experience in the Security and / or Temp Labor markets</li>\n</ul>\n<p>NOV is an equal opportunity employer.
