          "text": "<p>The <strong>Senior Municipal Engineer</strong> is a senior‑level civil engineering role focused on the delivery of municipal and transportation infrastructure projects in <strong>Vancouver, BC, Canada</strong>. The position supports traditional municipal business projects, acting as a transportation engineer on both provincial highway and local municipal roadway assignments across preliminary and detailed design phases.</p><p>The role leads civil roadway components for complex infrastructure programs, including freeways, urban and rural roadways, interchanges, and intersections. Work requires close coordination with watermain, storm, sanitary, drainage, and utilities disciplines to deliver integrated municipal infrastructure solutions. Project delivery spans planning, design development, and construction support within regulated provincial and municipal environments.</p><p>The ideal candidate brings extensive experience in roadway and municipal engineering, strong knowledge of Ontario transportation standards, and the ability to provide technical leadership, quality control, and mentorship within multidisciplinary engineering teams.</p><ul><li>Reporting to the Manager of Municipal Engineering,&#xa0;the Senior Municipal Engineer, will be responsible for supporting the overall success of Traditional Business Projects in Canada for Egis Canada Ltd.</li><li>Acting as a Transportation engineer for both provincial highways, local Municipal Roadways in both preliminary and detail design components of major projects.</li><li>Lead and Manage the civil roadway components of major projects from inception to completion (this could include, but is not limited to, highway facilities ranging from freeways, urban and rural multi-lane and two-lane facilities, interchanges, and intersections. These elements would also include incorporating data from other disciplines including watermain, storm and sanitary services/mains, as well as supporting wet and dry utilities and drainage improvements).</li><li>Providing technical guidance, support, and oversight to junior engineers and technical staff working on your projects.</li><li>Preparing technical reports, contract documents, design drawings, quantity estimates, and cost estimates.</li><li>Creating and reviewing / performing quality control checks on plans, profiles, and design quantities in <strong>Civil 3D/InRoads/Open Roads </strong>Design format.</li><li>Completing initial site inspections/field work for design assignments.</li><li>Maintaining positive client relationships with internal and external stakeholders.&#xa0;</li><li>Keeping current on the latest design tools and aids in CAD/civil 3D / Microstation / InRoads / Open Roads Design in consultation with senior CAD staff.&#xa0;</li></ul>",
