Anticipating needed medications and supplies, placing, and expediting orders, verifying receipt of orders, putting orders away accurately, and removing outdated drugs. &nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Comply with all 340B Policies and Procedures when releasing medications.&nbsp;</li><li>Completes credit returns and manual return process for Colorado Medicaid DME. &nbsp; &nbsp;</li><li>Must complete 24 hours of continuing education every 2 years either online or by attending workshops.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>&nbsp;Additional Duties of Pharmacy Technicians:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Assist patients as they drop off prescriptions.&nbsp;</li><li>Processes prescriptions by entering patient data, insurance, and prescription information into a computer. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;</li><li>Organizes medications for pharmacist to dispense by reading medication orders and prescriptions, preparing labels, calculating quantities, assembling intravenous solutions and other pharmaceutical therapies.</li><li>Inputs prescription/refills and creates/updates patient profiles and third-party setups accurately.</li><li>Administer vaccine and appropriately document.</li></ul><p><strong><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">&nbsp;</span></strong></p><p id=\"isPasted\"><strong>Certification Requirement:</strong></p><p>It is a Sunrise requirement that Pharmacy Technicians be licensed or certified. If an onboarding team member is not yet licensed, they will be required to obtain a one-time provisional license. The team member must achieve full licensure/certification by the following deadlines:</p><p><strong>Non-Certified Pharmacy Technician Exam:</strong></p><ul><li>It is required that the exam be taken after completing 500 hours of Pharmacy Technician experience and ideally three to six months before the expiration of the 18-month provisional license. The exam must be taken no later than 18 months from the date of hire. Sunrise will cover the cost of the first exam attempt.</li></ul><p><strong>Subsequent Exam Attempts:</strong></p><ul><li>If the first attempt is unsuccessful, the second and third attempts may be taken at the staff member&rsquo;s own expense.</li><li>If needed, a fourth attempt may be taken no sooner than six months after the third attempt, and this expense will also be the responsibility of the staff member.</li></ul><p><strong>Failure to Pass by Provisional Expiration:</strong></p><ul><li>If the staff member does not successfully pass the exam before the 18-month provisional license expires, they will no longer be eligible to perform Non-Certified Pharmacy Technician duties.</li><li>At that time, the staff member may submit an application for any open positions at Sunrise and will be considered in the same manner as all other qualified candidates. &nbsp;&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong><strong>Minimum Qualifications:</strong></p><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong><strong><u>Pharmacy Runner</u></strong></p><ul><li>Bilingual English/Spanish Preferred.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong><u>Pharmacy Technician&nbsp;</u></strong></p><ul><li>High School Diploma / GED.</li><li>Associate degree in Pharmaceutical Technology preferred.&nbsp;</li><li>1-2 years&rsquo; experience as a Pharmacy Technician, or equivalent combination, education, and experience.</li><li>Bilingual English/Spanish Preferred.</li></ul><p><br><strong>Perks and Benefits:</strong></p><p>At Sunrise, we pride ourselves in over 50 years of exceptional support to our community and employees.
