    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><link href=\"https://static.workforcenow.adp.com/mas/mdf-components/23.10.21/styles/froala_editor.pkgd.min.css\" rel=\"stylesheet\" type=\"text/css\">&nbsp;<link href=\"https://static.workforcenow.adp.com/mas/mdf-components/23.10.21/styles/froala_style.min.css\" rel=\"stylesheet\" type=\"text/css\"><div class=\"fr-view\"><div><p id=\"isPasted\"><strong>Job Title/Position:</strong> Speech-Language Pathologist</p><p><strong>Reports To:</strong> Clinical Director or Rehab Director</p><p><strong>JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY</strong></p><p>The speech&ndash;language pathologist is responsible for implementation of standards of care for <span style=\"background-color: transparent;\">speech language pathology services and for adherence to all conditions in the Service&nbsp;</span><span style=\"background-color: transparent;\">Agreement.</span></p><p><br></p><p><u><strong>ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></u></p><p>1. Conducts appropriate evaluations, assesses home environment (as appropriate), identifies <span style=\"background-color: transparent;\">equipment needs relative to speech/language function.</span></p><p>2. Identifies functional speech defects and establishes a plan of care to improve patient&rsquo;s <span style=\"background-color: transparent;\">function.</span></p><p>3. Administers speech therapy program utilizing specialized therapeutic technique and/or <span style=\"background-color: transparent;\">equipment.</span></p><p>4. Recommends communication devices/aids as indicated.</p><p>5. Confers with referring physician (or another authorized licensed independent practitioner) and <span style=\"background-color: transparent;\">other organization personnel to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care contributes to&nbsp;</span><span style=\"background-color: transparent;\">the total plan of care.</span></p><p>6. As appropriate, participates in case conferences, in-services and other meetings required to <span style=\"background-color: transparent;\">ensure coordinated and comprehensive care.</span></p><p>7. Prepares and submits notes per organization policy.</p><p>8. Maintains clinical competency in speech language pathology practice and theory.</p><p>9. Identifies patient and family/caregiver needs for other services and refers as appropriate.</p><p>10. Instructs patient, family/caregiver and other Organization health care personnel in the <span style=\"background-color: transparent;\">patient&rsquo;s treatment regime as indicated.</span></p><p>11. May supervise home health aide in procedures directly related to the speech&ndash;language <span style=\"background-color: transparent;\">therapy plan of care.</span></p><p>12. Performs other duties as required to facilitate the delivery of speech language <span style=\"background-color: transparent;\">pathology services.</span></p><p><br></p><p><strong>POSITION QUALIFICATIONS</strong></p><p id=\"isPasted\">1. Possesses a master&rsquo;s or doctoral degree in speech-language pathology (SLP), and who</p><p>meets either of the following requirements:</p><p>A. Is licensed as a speech language pathologist by the State in which the individual</p><p>furnishes such service; or</p><p>B. If the State does not license speech-language pathologists:</p><ol><li>Must successfully completed 350 clock hours of supervised clinical practicum (or is in the process of accumulating such supervised clinical experience);</li><li>Performed not less than 9 months of supervised full-time SLP services after obtaining a master&rsquo;s or doctoral degree in SLP or a related field; and</li><li>Successfully completed an approved national examination in SLP</li></ol><p>2. A minimum of one year&#39;s clinical experience in Speech&ndash;Language Pathology.</p><p>3. Demonstrates good verbal and written communication, and organization skills.</p><p>4. Possesses and maintains current CPR certification.</p><p>5.
