    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p><strong>Position Summary</strong>The Materials Management Program Representative supports supply chain activities associated with all active classes of US submarines to support production, testing and program execution. This role serves as a key liaison between EB Program Offices, Ships Management, Operations, Contracts, Planning Departments, Finance, Design, Engineering, Purchasing, Planning Yard, various Quality Departments, Government Agencies, Newport News Ship Building, and EB Off-Site Departments to ensure material availability, resolve shortages, and communicate risks that may impact schedule performance.The successful candidate will be a self-starter who can work independently, prioritize competing demands, and proactively drive issues to resolution.</p>\n<p>*This position is on site in our Groton, CT facility.<strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Monitor and manage material requirements to support production and program schedules.</li>\n <li>Identify, analyze, and resolve material shortages and supply chain constraints.</li>\n <li>Coordinate with Procurement, Planning, Engineering, Operations, and Key stakeholders to ensure timely material availability.</li>\n <li>Communicate material status, risks, and recovery plans to stakeholders and leadership.</li>\n <li>Support inventory management activities and maintain data accuracy within ERP/MRP systems.</li>\n <li>Track critical material performance metrics and provide status updates to management.</li>\n <li>Participate in program reviews and cross-functional meetings.</li>\n <li>Escalate issues appropriately while driving accountability and follow-through.</li>\n <li>Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on schedule adherence and operational efficiency.</li>\n <li>Participate in the development of new processes/projects and updating procedures accordingly.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Requirements:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor's degree or 2+ years equivalent experience in Supply Chain, Materials Management, Operations Management, Project Management, Business Administration or related field.</li>\n <li>Experience in supply chain, logistics, materials management, project management, manufacturing, or operations.</li>\n <li>Knowledge of inventory management and material planning processes. </li>\n <li>Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and ERP/MRP II systems. </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Preferred:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>5+ years equivalent experience in Supply Chain, Materials Management, Operations Management, Project Management, Business Administration or a related field.</li>\n <li>Experience supporting manufacturing or defense-related programs.</li>\n <li>ARTEMIS, Construction/Design, MRP II, EWP/PCM, ORACLE or TEAMCENTER experience.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Skills</h2>\n<p><strong>Key Attributes for Success</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Self-starter who requires minimal direction.</li>\n <li>Strong sense of ownership and accountability.</li>\n <li>Ability to build relationships and influence without direct authority.</li>\n <li>Comfortable making decisions and driving issues to closure.</li>\n <li>Excellent communicator capable of translating information between Operations and Supply Chain organizations.</li>\n <li>Experience working in cross-functional teams.</li>\n <li>Effective written and verbal communication skills.</li>\n <li>Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.</li>\n <li>Strong organizational and analytical skills.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Physical Qualifications</h2>Color Vision, Kneeling, Light Lifting, Pulling, Pushing, Reaching, Stooping, Twisting\n<h2>Environmental Attributes</h2>Cold, Dry, Dusty, Hot, Inside, Noise, Wet",
