Under the direction of the Assistant Director of Nursing and Manager of Information Technology this position is responsible for implementation, ongoing updates, and maintenance of Electronic Health Records.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p><strong>ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS</strong></p><ul><li>Collaborate with nursing management to provide a clinical orientation that meets the needs of the facility and the new staff member.</li><li>Partner with ADON and Manager of information technology to implement and sustain EMR.&nbsp;</li><li>Train staff at all levels to fully utilize EMR.</li><li>Implement e-prescribing techniques for nursing and medical staff.</li><li>Oversee in-service education for CNAs in compliance with government regulations.</li><li>Provide classroom and clinical instruction about policies and procedures impacting resident care in collaboration with DON and ADON&nbsp;</li><li>Assessment of the clinical competencies of clinical staff as indicated to ensure quality performance.</li><li>Develop, implement and conduct relevant in-service training programs.</li><li>Establish and maintain a network of contacts with health-related agencies.</li><li>In collaboration with the ADON /DON will coordinate and maintain medication error process.&nbsp;</li><li>Utilize outside training programs and on-line resources to maximize development opportunities for staff.</li><li>Coordinate the clinical rotation of students from external programs.</li><li>In collaboration with the Administrator Licensed Nursing Home and the ADON review and revise nursing policies and procedures.&nbsp;</li><li>Participate in ECH quality assurance committee.</li><li>Report unsafe condition to security, maintenance as soon as possible.</li><li>Familiar with established emergency procedures and staff incidents.</li></ul><p><br></p>",
