In order to become a Ryder employee you must:</strong></strong>\n  <ul>\n   <li>Must be able to obtain CDL within 6 months after hire</li>\n   <li>Pass a Ryder Drug Test</li>\n   <li>Pass a DOT physical</li>\n   <li>Pass a Ryder road test</li>\n   <li>Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years</li>\n  </ul></li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Important Note: </strong>Some positions require additional screening that may include employment and education verification; motor vehicle records check and a road test; and/or badging or background requirements of the customer to which you are assigned.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Performs basic vehicle maintenance</li>\n <li>Performs component identification and minor repairs</li>\n <li>Performs preventive maintenance with training and support</li>\n <li>Performs facility maintenance duties</li>\n <li>Perform all entry level tasks</li>\n <li>Diagnoses minor mechanical and electronic problems, utilizing diagnostic computer when applicable</li>\n <li>Performs other related duties as assigned</li>\n</ul>\n<p><em></em><em>Ryder is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer and Drug Free workplace.
