Our programmes combine English language learning with cultural experiences, excursions, and recreational activities in a safe and supportive environment. </p><p>We welcome students from a wide range of international backgrounds and aim to provide a structured programme that supports both language learning and cultural exchange. </p><p>_________________________________________________________________________ </p><p></p><p><strong>Position Summary: </strong></p><p>The<strong> Activity Leader</strong> supports the delivery of the centre’s activity programme and helps ensure that students have a safe, organised, and enjoyable experience during their stay. </p><p>This role involves supervising students during activities and excursions, supporting engagement in the programme, and assisting with the smooth operation of the centre. </p><p></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities: </strong></p><ul><li><p>Support the planning and delivery of daily activity programmes, including sports, cultural activities, and excursions. </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Supervise groups of students during on-site activities and off-site visits. </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Ensure student safety and wellbeing at all times in accordance with centre policies. </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Provide clear instructions and guidance to students during activities. </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Encourage student participation and positive interaction among participants. </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Maintain accurate attendance records and report any concerns to senior staff. </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Assist with preparation and organisation of activity materials and equipment. </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Support the centre team with general operational duties when required. </p></li></ul><p></p><p><strong>Organisational Compliance: </strong></p><p>The job holder will be expected to operate in accordance with the company’s Code of Conduct, and any local policies and operating procedures relating to academic, welfare and safeguarding matters. </p><p>Employees are required to cooperate fully with all arrangements in place related to Health and Safety which include implementation and compliance with control measures resultant from risk assessments and engagement with, and completion of, any relevant Health and Safety training. </p><p></p><p><strong>Education Required: </strong></p><ul><li><p>Educated to Gaokao or equivalent. </p></li></ul><p></p><p><strong>Additional Qualifications Desired: </strong></p><ul><li><p>Valid First Aid Certificate  </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Specialism in sports coaching, drama, or dance  </p></li></ul><p></p><p><strong>Experience Required: </strong></p><p>No prior work experience is required for the role of activity leader however we do look for candidates with a lot of common sense and great communication skills.  We provide the necessary training to carry out the role effectively and this is a great opportunity to gain valuable professional skills to add to your CV! </p><p></p><p><strong>Experience Desired:  </strong></p><ul><li><p>Summer School experience, preferably in a multi-cultural environment </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Experience in working in, or qualifications in hospitality. </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Experience in working in a customer facing environment. </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Specialism in sports coaching, drama, or dance. </p></li></ul><p><br><strong>Personal Attributes: </strong></p><ul><li><p>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Excellent organisational and planning skills. </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Ability to deal with and resolve complex problems and issues. </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Ability to motivate and engage students. </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Ability to work under pressure. </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Demonstrates the ability to form and maintain appropriate relationships and personal boundaries with children and young people. </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Demonstrates emotional resilience in working with challenging behaviours. </p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Demonstrates a positive attitude to the use of authority and maintaining discipline.  </p></li></ul><p><br><strong>Working week: </strong></p><ul><li><p><strong>6 days out of 7 </strong>(1 day off per week) </p></li></ul><ul><li><p><strong>42 hours per week</strong>  </p></li></ul><p><br><strong>Remuneration: </strong></p><p>Gross weekly pay: <strong>£600.13</strong><br><br>(Basic weekly pay: <strong>£535.50 </strong>+ Holiday pay: <strong>£64.63</strong>)<br><br><strong>FREE Full board residential accommodation included</strong><br> </p><p><strong>Staff uniform: </strong></p><p>All staff are required to wear the designated company uniform while on duty.
