Includes delivery and pickup of dumpsters to and from large, high volume construction sites, residential homes and other commercial locations.</p>\r\n<p><br></p>\r\n<p>CLASSIFICATION STANDARDS<br>Positions allocated to this classification report to a designated manager or supervisor and work under general supervision. Work in this class requires the ability to work under limited supervision and to make decisions and work independently.</p>\r\n<p><br></p>\r\n<p>ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS<br>Drivers are responsible for truck loadout and hauling of municipal waste and construction debris to a landfill or transfer station site, for delivering recovered material to customer sites, and for moving material on and around the facility property. This physically strenuous position involves mounting and dismounting a heavy-duty truck numerous times each day.</p>\r\n<p><br></p>\r\n<p>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS<br>High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred. Minimum two-years commercial driving experience with tractor-trailers. Work experience including operation of heavy equipment (excavators, bucket loaders, etc.), use of tools and equipment to conduct maintenance and repair work, or an equivalent combination of training and experience that provide the required knowledge, ability, and skills.</p>\r\n<p><br></p>\r\n<p><br>- Possess a valid CDL with two years of verifiable experience.<br>- Must have a valid DOT Medical Card.<br>- Must pass a DOT and employment physical.<br>- Must pass a background investigation and drug screen.<br>- Minimum of two years of satisfactory driving experience and a clean driving record.<br>- Must pass written and road test evaluation(s), when required.<br>- No suspensions or revocations due to a moving violation or accident within two years.<br>- No DUI (driving under the influence) convictions within four years.</p>\r\n<p><br></p>\r\n<p><br>LICENSES/CERTIFICATES<br>- Valid CDL<br>- Valid DOT Medical Card</p>\r\n<p><br></p>\r\n<p><br>SELECTION FACTORS<br>- Reliability-based on employment history.<br>- One year of on-road commercial driving experience (tractor-trailer).<br>- Knowledge of DOT safety regulations.<br>- Clean driving record and experience with tractor-trailer operations.<br>- Knowledge of occupational hazards, DOT safety rules/regulations and industry safety precautions.</p>\r\n<p><br></p>\r\n<p><em>*This section of the job description is not intended to be a comprehensive list of duties and responsibilities of the position.
