The ideal candidate must have strong organizational skills, the ability to multi-task, must be able to work flexible hours and work independently.  If you feel like this would be a good fit for your personality and career ambition, we encourage you to apply!</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">About the facility:</span> The Youth Support Program is located in all LLRIB Health Services, Clinics and is part of the Cultural Program located in La Ronge, Morin’s Hill. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">About the position: </span><span> </span>Youth Support Worker will assist children and youth developing life skills, social skills and/or access to community resources. Providing individual care and guidance. The candidate will work with the Prevention &amp; Recovery and Cultural staff in the communities, with youth, community members, and health care professional workers.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Duties:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Increasing awareness and understanding of issues among First Nations youth;</li>\n<li>Willingness to contribute in thoughtful and innovative ways to development and implementation of awareness and prevention;</li>\n<li>Assist in organizing a committee in each community and engaging youth to discuss relevant issues and concerns;</li>\n<li>Participate in developing youth planning in each community;</li>\n<li>Assist P&amp;R and Cultural team/program in facilitating grief workshops;</li>\n<li>Inspire youth to live a healthy lifestyle;</li>\n<li>Attend Meetings, case conferences and trainings as required;</li>\n<li>Other duties as assigned by supervisor &amp;/or designate</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Qualifications: </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Grade 12 or combination of education and relevant experience may be considered</li>\n<li>Strong organizational skills &amp; able to multitask;</li>\n<li>Experience in facilitating groups, public speaking, presentations and writing reports;</li>\n<li>Ability to work independently as well as a member of a team;</li>\n<li>Ability to work flexible hours, <span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><em>including evenings and weekends;</em></span></li>\n<li>Ability to speak/understand Cree and/or knowledge of Cree culture is an asset;</li>\n<li>Basic computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office;</li>\n<li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills;</li>\n<li>Satisfactory Criminal Record Check/Vulnerable Sector Screening;</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Must possess a valid Class 5 Driver’s License;</span></span></li>\n</ul>",
