Through our yellow fleet of residential, roll off, and front load trucks and containers, Priority Waste makes the customer experience our #1 priority.</p>\r\n\r\n<p><strong>Job Purpose</strong></p>\r\n\r\n<p>In your role as a Heavy Duty Machinery Mechanic, you will perform repairs and maintenance on refuse vehicles and heavy machinery including, but not limited to: vehicle refuse bodies and control systems, air brake systems, suspension, steering, suspension, hydraulics, electrical, general engine work, HVAC components, drivetrain, and chassis components.</p>\r\n\r\n<p><strong>Duties and Responsibilities</strong></p>\r\n\r\n<p>Duties include but are not limited to:</p>\r\n\r\n<ul>\r\n\t<li>Keeps up on maintenance of vehicles and equipment</li>\r\n\t<li>Performs engine repair and maintenance</li>\r\n\t<li>Performs welding and fabrication</li>\r\n\t<li>Scans trucks and troubleshoots mechanical issues using electronic tools</li>\r\n\t<li>Performs electrical repairs</li>\r\n\t<li>Assists with DOT inspections</li>\r\n\t<li>Completes oil changes and greasing trucks/equipment</li>\r\n\t<li>Repairs tires, including replacement when necessary</li>\r\n\t<li>Performs preventative maintenance on vehicles to enable minimal downtime</li>\r\n\t<li>Safely executes road service calls when necessary to ensure the equipment is being returned in a safe manner</li>\r\n\t<li>Troubleshoots emissions issues</li>\r\n\t<li>Actively problem solves</li>\r\n\t<li>Executes work orders and turns into Maintenance Supervisor for company records</li>\r\n</ul>",
