    "requisitionDescription": "<div><p><strong>Job Purpose&nbsp;</strong></p><p>Provide counseling to individuals with a substance use disorder in a residential and/or outpatient setting. Facilitate an individual&rsquo;s treatment progress while guiding them through each phase of their substance use disorder treatment.&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Qualifications&nbsp;</strong> &nbsp;</p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Possess a minimum of a High School diploma or HiSet certificate.&nbsp;</li><li>Either possess or have the ability to obtain the MAADC I credential within the first three months of employment.&nbsp;</li><li>Ability to progress through Associate Counselor Career Ladder and attain MAADC II by the end of second year of employment.&nbsp;</li><li>Ability to pass CRADC exam and attain CRADC certification by the end of the fourth year of employment. &nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>Core Job Duties&nbsp;</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Provide services within the 4 performance domains (Screening, Assessment &amp; Engagement; Counseling; Treatment Planning, Collaboration &amp; Referral; Professional, Ethical Responsibilities).&nbsp;</li><li>Provide Individual Counseling, Group Counseling, and Group Education as scheduled.&nbsp;</li><li>To Advocate for Person(s) served on a case and community level.&nbsp;</li><li>Participate in multi-disciplinary treatment team staffing meetings.&nbsp;</li><li>Represent the agency in a caring and professional manner.&nbsp;</li><li>Demonstrates unconditional positive regard towards person(s) served.&nbsp;</li><li>Maintains a solution focused attitude.&nbsp;</li><li>Adherence to all applicable evidence-based practice models. &nbsp;</li><li>Demonstrate a working knowledge of diagnostic criteria sets for substance use and/or mental disorders.&nbsp;</li><li>Orally communicate information effectively and accurately. &nbsp;</li><li>Assure program operates within the constraints of the agency&rsquo;s certification (CARF, DMH) standards and strategic plan related to clinical care. &nbsp; &nbsp;</li><li>Abide by program and agency policies and procedures.</li><li>Other job duties and special projects as assigned. &nbsp;</li></ul><p><br></p></div>\n",
