Brooks currently manages three inpatient hospitals in Florida and is set to expand its reach through a collaboration with Mayo Clinic, opening a new facility on Mayo's Phoenix campus in 2026. Offering a comprehensive system of care, Brooks provides inpatient and outpatient services, skilled nursing, assisted living, and memory care and impacts lives beyond clinical settings through community programs designed to enhance the quality of life for individuals with physical disabilities.</span></p>\n<p>In accord with hospital policies, procedures, and standards, the Nursing Supervisor is responsible for 24 hour/day operations within the specific clinical units, including staff development, performance assessment of staff, scheduling, quality assurance. Functions as the onsite administrator during off hours.<br>\n  &nbsp;</p>\n<p><b>Work Every Weekend Sat/Sun 7am-7pm</b></p>\n<p><b>Sign bonus: 10,000K (external applicants only)</b><br>\n  &nbsp;</p>\n<p><b>Job Responsibilities:</b></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Assumes responsibility for communicating significant events to appropriate Director on Call, managers and/or Vice President Nursing.</li>\n <li>Evaluates staffing needs per shift and makes daily adjustments, as needed, to accommodate patient acuity and staff capabilities. Consults with the Nurse Manager to ensure continuity of patient care on a 24-hour basis.</li>\n <li>Promotes accountability and autonomy through primary nursing.</li>\n <li>Delegates responsibility for direct patient care based on patient age, developmental needs, and understanding. Makes assignments of nurses according to patient needs and staff abilities.</li>\n <li>Responds to all “Code 5” calls and coordinates nursing activities during emergencies.</li>\n <li>Ensures the implementation of the nursing process, including patient assessment, nursing diagnoses, care plans, interventions, patient teaching, and evaluation of outcomes of care.</li>\n <li>Acts as resource person to all unit staff members.</li>\n <li>Performs patient care, as needed.</li>\n <li>Maintains safe unit environment. Ensures staff compliance with safety, fire and infection control policies and procedures.</li>\n <li>Provides for orientation of new staff members in collaboration with clinical specialists/educators.</li>\n <li>Evaluates individual staff member's performance in a timely manner in accord with established criteria and sets realistic goals.</li>\n <li>Evaluates staff in services/continuing education needs. Plans for in services in collaboration with clinical specialists/educators.</li>\n <li>Participates in nursing leadership and management committees.</li>\n <li>Assists with facilitating the Organ Procurement Program on designated shift.</li>\n <li>Establishes and maintains an effective working relationship with other members of the healthcare</li>\n <li>team.</li>\n <li>Identifies, corrects, and/or refers interdepartmental problems in collaboration with Nurse Manager.</li>\n <li>Acts as a resource person to other team members, department managers, and students.</li>\n <li>Participates in inter- and intra- institutional education programs.</li>\n <li>Assists with initiation and implementation of new programs in a timely and efficient manner.</li>\n <li>Assists in evaluating effectiveness of existing and new programs, including the collection and collation of quality indicator data</li>\n <li>Assures a clean and safe environment on the patient unit.</li>\n <li>Participates in professional development activities to enhance self-learning.</li>\n <li>May perform other duties as assigned.</li>\n <li>MUST be able to attend a week of HR Orientation/Clinical Educator Training, Mon-Fri 8a-5p.&nbsp;<br>\n   &nbsp;</li>\n</ul>\n<p><b>Job Qualifications:</b></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing,</li>\n <li>Licensed as a registered nurse in the State of Florida, with at least three years’ experience in rehabilitation or medical surgical nursing.</li>\n <li>Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
