          "text": "<p>AECOM is seeking an experienced and forward-thinking <strong>MEP Engineering Manager</strong> to help grow and lead our building engineering practice in Philadelphia. Key to this role will be guiding the appropriate integration of AI into practice.</p><p>You’ll take the lead on major pursuits, manage and expand a talented engineering team, and work directly with high-profile clients — including major U.S. airport and transportation authorities, research/science, higher education clients and federal agencies.</p><p><strong>Why Join Us?</strong></p><ul><li><strong>Leadership role </strong>— Build and lead your own team, with support from the executive level and peers.</li><li><strong>Work that matters</strong> — Design systems for complex, high-impact infrastructure</li><li><strong>Growth and visibility</strong> — Drive strategy, win major work, and grow with us.</li><li><strong>Collaboration</strong> — Partner with leading technical experts and business strategists across architecture and engineering disciplines.</li><li><strong>Innovation</strong> — Help deliver projects that focus on utilizing AI for efficiency.&#xa0;&#xa0;&#xa0;&#xa0;&#xa0;&#xa0;&#xa0;&#xa0;&#xa0;&#xa0;&#xa0;&#xa0;&#xa0; &#xa0;electrification, and innovative design.</li></ul><p><strong>What You’ll Do:</strong></p><ul><li>The MEP Manager will oversee team operations, support staff development, and serve as a technical lead contributing to project delivery and client support.</li><li>Lead and manage AECOM’s <strong>MEP Engineering operations in Philadelphia</strong>, with an emphasis on team growth and performance.</li><li>Oversee and grow the <strong>Mechanical (HVAC), Electrical, and Fire Protection departments</strong>, including mentoring staff and managing project delivery.</li><li>Develop and execute a strategy to add engineering staff to <strong>build a thriving local MEP team</strong>.</li><li>Drive major project pursuits — both stand-alone MEP/FP work and as part of larger multi-discipline teams.</li><li>Collaborate with other AECOM offices and business lines to optimize project staffing and delivery.</li><li>Act as <strong>technical leader and quality reviewer</strong>, ensuring consistent, high-caliber output.</li><li>Serve as <strong>design manager</strong> on complex projects with significant engineering scope working closely with project managers to deliver high quality documents.</li><li>Lead interdisciplinary coordination/quality reviews and ensure engineering standards are met.</li><li>Guide team members in their work, assigning tasks and supporting their professional development.</li><li>Manage forecasting, resource planning, and staff performance, including goal-setting and annual reviews for leads of each MEP department.</li><li>Represent AECOM to clients, participate in interviews, and help craft winning proposals.</li><li>Stay current with the latest trends, tools, and best practices</li><li>This is a hybrid leadership role in which the manager will supervise staff and contribute directly to technical deliverables.</li></ul>",
