As our Weekend Meteorologist you are responsible for the content of the weather cast on-air and on our digital platforms. You will also be required&nbsp;to do some reporting and fill in on other shows as needed throughout the week.</p>\n               <p><strong><u>The main day to day responsibilities of the role will include…</u></strong></p>\n               <ul>\n                <li>Forecasting, producing and presenting clear and concise weather casts, which tell a story and connect with viewers in both markets</li>\n                <li>Issue warnings and alerts, produce graphics and maps, and report live during weather events.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li>\n                <li>Assist in severe weather coverage as needed.</li>\n                <li>Utilize social media during severe weather, as well as write weather stories</li>\n                <li>Make public appearances on behalf of the station</li>\n                <li>Pitching story ideas, developing contacts and reporting</li>\n               </ul>\n               <p><strong><u>What skills do you need to be successful in our role?</u></strong></p>\n               <ul>\n                <li>Ability to tell memorable and meaningful stories, we value visual and compelling storytelling</li>\n                <li>Ability to demonstrate experience with active and visual live shots</li>\n                <li>In Depth Knowledge of forecasting</li>\n                <li>Sharp news judgement and exceptional writing skills</li>\n                <li>Ability to multitask while meeting deadlines and prioritizing tasks</li>\n                <li>Bachelor's degree in Meteorology, or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.</li>\n                <li>2 years experience in weather presentation and reporting preferred</li>\n               </ul>\n               <p><strong><u>While applying online, please include a link to your online demo reel.</u></strong></p>\n               <p>The base hourly compensation range for this role is $20.00-25.00 per hour. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidates’ relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location.
