    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p><strong>Position Summary:</strong>&nbsp; The Underground Climbing Crew Leader position is a skilled position in the construction, maintenance and repair of electrical underground distribution systems.</p>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p><strong>Essential Functions:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Work safely while performing new construction, maintenance or repair work of energized and de-energized underground work.</li>\n <li>Supervises crew members.</li>\n <li>Possesses working knowledge of leadership and management skills.</li>\n <li>Capable of leading and training lower skilled employees in safe and productive work procedures.</li>\n <li>Capable of leading and teaching underground services, infrastructure and duct banks.</li>\n <li>Conducts pre-job or tailgate briefings.</li>\n <li>Possess a working knowledge of all aspects of underground distribution.</li>\n <li>Troubleshoots problems on underground circuit.</li>\n <li>Frequently works with energized high voltage systems requiring skill and care to protect the lives of themselves and others.</li>\n <li>Maintains company vehicles, equipment and tools in good working order.</li>\n <li>Comply with company reporting procedures and complete required company paperwork.</li>\n <li>Coordinates and inspects the work of crew members.</li>\n <li>Able to perform rigorous physical labor.</li>\n <li>Able to identify primary and secondary voltage on a circuit.</li>\n <li>Must be familiar with induced voltage.</li>\n <li>Possesses knowledge of tools for terminating cable.</li>\n <li>Understands grounding procedures.</li>\n <li>Understands how to obtain a one shot on a reclosure.</li>\n <li>Capable of working in confined spaces.</li>\n <li>Capable of properly installing and removing PPE and cover up.</li>\n <li>Understands grounding procedures.</li>\n <li>Capable of testing and classifying soil.</li>\n <li>Understands how to safely operate equipment.</li>\n <li>Understands how to phase out a line using phasing sticks.</li>\n <li>Capable of planning safe work based on a job print or work order.</li>\n <li>Understands sloping and shoring requirements.</li>\n <li>Possesses a working knowledge of ladder requirements.</li>\n <li>Able to properly ask for and take line clearances.</li>\n <li>Possesses a working knowledge of line protection devices.</li>\n <li>Able to properly inspect rubber goods and PPE.</li>\n <li>Able to identify and locate puller and tensioner setups.</li>\n <li>Does all other related work as required to complete the job.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Minimum Requirements:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Must be able to climb poles.</li>\n <li>Must be able to operate mini excavator.</li>\n <li>Able to travel long distances on short notice, when required.</li>\n <li>Understands flag and tag procedures.</li>\n <li>Possesses a CDL and demonstrates safe driving.</li>\n <li>Able to work for extended periods in various locations, when required.</li>\n <li>Able to lift in excess of 50 lbs.</li>\n <li>Must be able to work outside, frequently in inclement weather.</li>\n <li>Willing to work over-time when requested.</li>\n <li>Willing to work outside of the normal work schedule including weekends, holidays, and overtime as required for the position.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Physical Demands:</strong><br/>The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.<br/>While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, and feel; and reach with hands and arms.</p>\n<p><strong>Work Environment:</strong><br/>While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at construction job sites. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.
