Located in Springfield, Missouri. As part of our mission‑driven team, you’ll help support children, adolescents, and families during critical moments. We offer a collaborative environment where your work directly contributes to patient well‑being and organizational success.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>PURPOSE STATEMENT:</strong></p>\n<p>Direct, supervise and coordinate the activities of a patient support team.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:</strong></p>\n<p>· Provide medical or therapeutic care, direct and indirect diagnostic and therapeutic procedures to patients, following the instructions of physicians or other health practitioners.</p>\n<p>· Coordinate the work and activities of assigned staff, including setting performance expectations in the day-to-day operations of the unit.</p>\n<p>· Provide guidance and direction to staff and encourage/build mutual trust, respect and cooperation among team members.</p>\n<p>· Assist patients with their daily living activities and administer basic health care or treatments.</p>\n<p>· Participate in therapeutic or recreational group.</p>\n<p>· Oversee admitting and discharging.</p>\n<p>· Monitor physical and emotional well-being of patients and report unusual behavior or physical ailments to appropriate staff. Prepare and maintain records of progress and services performed.</p>\n<p>· Observe and influence the behavior of the patients by communicating, interacting with them, teaching and counseling.</p>\n<p>· Encourage patients to participate in social, recreational, or other therapeutic activities that enhance interpersonal skills or develop social relationships and teach strategies to promote patient wellness and independence.</p>\n<p>· Lead or co-lead individual or group sessions as part of specific recreational or therapeutic procedures.</p>\n<p>· Collaborate with other staff in working with the population of the facility to treat, rehabilitate and return patients to the community.</p>\n<p>· May provide transportation for patients as needed.</p>\n<p>· Demonstrate a positive, empathetic and professional attitude towards customers always. When patient needs are not met, acknowledge and work to resolve complaints. Recognize that patient safety is a top priority.</p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:</strong></p>\n<p>· High School diploma or equivalent required.</p>\n<p>· Associate's or Bachelor's degree in human service field from an accredited college or university preferred.</p>\n<p>· Two or more years’ experience with the population of the facility in a patient support role required.</p>\n<p>· One or more years’ experience as a lead or previous supervisory experience required.</p>\n<p><strong>LICENSES/DESIGNATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS:</strong></p>\n<p>· CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required (training available upon hire and offered by facility).</p>\n<p>· First aid may be required based on state or facility.</p>\n<p>· May require a valid state driver's in facilities where transporting patients is an essential function.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>#LI-LBHH</p>\n<p>AHPILOT</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>We are committed to providing equal  employment opportunities to all applicants for employment regardless of an individual’s characteristics protected by applicable state, federal and local laws.</p>",
