    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>Reporting to the Department Chair and the Clinical Director, the Clinical Supervisor has responsibility for supervision of graduate student clinicians and assisting in administration of the Touro University Speech and Hearing Center.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>Duties including but not limited to the following:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Direct and indirect supervision of graduate speech-language pathology students in clinical practicum:\n  <ul>\n   <li>Regular review of client session plans and all clinical documentation</li>\n   <li>Direct observation of client sessions</li>\n   <li>Assists with sessions/evaluations as per student and/or client need</li>\n   <li>Reviews and corrects reports associated with client contact (progress reports, evaluation reports, etc. to meet students’ professional writing requirements</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Provide speech/language assessment and therapy services to clients in the Speech and Hearing Center as a model for students</li>\n <li>Comply with the ASHA standards of supervision for in-person and teletherapy/remote sessions</li>\n <li>Adhere to ASHA and NYS ethical standards for clinical practice</li>\n <li>Assist students to provide clinical services in a culturally competent manner, using client-centered and family-centered approaches</li>\n <li>Counsel students regarding therapeutic and/or evaluation techniques for upcoming sessions</li>\n <li>Interact frequently with students to provide direction, guidance, and feedback</li>\n <li>Monitor student performance and progress via formative and summative evaluations</li>\n <li>Maintains standards of HIPAA and Infection Control</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Education, Preparation, and Training</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>The qualified candidate must have a master’s degree or higher, along with appropriate state license and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)</li>\n <li>Minimum 3 years’ experience post-CF</li>\n <li>2 hours continuing education in supervision (per ASHA requirement)</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Strong interpersonal skills</li>\n <li>Excellent oral communication</li>\n <li>Superb writing skills</li>\n <li>Ability to be organized with an attention to detail</li>\n <li>Ability to prioritize workload</li>\n <li>Responsiveness to student needs</li>\n <li>Professional role model</li>\n <li>Willingness to work within a team</li>\n <li>Knowledge of HIPAA and FERPA</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Computer Skills</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, & Outlook</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Physical Demands</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Regular use of computers</li>\n <li>Regular time sitting and standing</li>\n <li>Able to lift up to 5 lbs.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Maximum Salary</h2>USD $8,000.00/Sem\n<h2>Minimum Salary</h2>USD $6,400.00/Sem",
