Job Summary: The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving growth and expanding market share by identifying new business opportunities, developing strategic partnerships, and building long-term relationships with clients. This individual will play a key role in shaping the company’s sales strategies and contributing to its continued success in the industrial and utility equipment sector.
Key Responsibilities
Identify and develop new business opportunities across domestic markets. Build and manage a pipeline of prospective clients and strategic partners. Develop and deliver compelling presentations and proposals to potential clients. Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive activity. Collaborate with the sales, marketing, engineering, and product teams to align strategies and ensure successful customer engagement. Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to promote the brand and products. Prepare sales forecasts, activity reports, and strategic plans for executive leadership. Negotiate contracts and close deals that meet revenue targets and margin expectations. Maintain strong knowledge of company products, features, and competitive advantages. Foster long-term client relationships to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field (MBA is a plus). 5+ years of business development or sales experience in manufacturing, industrial equipment, or related sectors. Strong understanding of B2B sales cycles and customer relationship management. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Ability to travel up to 30–50% as needed (domestic and international). Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce), Microsoft Office Suite, and market research tools. Preferred Experience:
Background in aerial lifts, utility vehicles, or heavy machinery sales. Experience working with municipalities, utilities, or telecom providers. Familiarity with government contracts is a plus. Core Benefits
