Not all Campus Recreation and Wellness positions have openings each quarter as we hire based on our staffing needs. Campus Recreation typically holds open interview during Week 1 of each quarter, but that does not guarantee positions are available. Please DO NOT apply for this position until after you have attended an open interview.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Description&nbsp;</strong></p><p>Fitness Center Attendants primarily assist with the daily operations of the Life University Fitness Center.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><p>1. &nbsp;Greet and welcome patrons and guests to the facility.</p><p>2. &nbsp;Provide excellent customer service to patrons and guests.</p><p>3. &nbsp;Answer and transfer phone calls.</p><p>4. &nbsp;Verify and update memberships and waivers in an electronic database.</p><p>5. &nbsp;Administer and track guest passes for visitors.</p><p>6. &nbsp;Verify inventory of all rental equipment.</p><p>7. &nbsp;Logging lost and found items.</p><p>8. &nbsp;Conduct sales of lockers and personal training sessions.</p><p>9. &nbsp;Clean and maintain facility equipment throughout the Fitness Center.</p><p>10. Inspect and report facility maintenance issues to supervisors and/or professional staff.</p><p>11. Educate patrons regarding Fitness Center policies and enforce said policies.</p><p>12. Assist participants with using equipment.&nbsp;</p><p>13. Monitor the activities and safety of the patrons and guests throughout the facility.</p><p>14. Report any issues or problems during shift according to the emergency action plan of the department.</p><p>15. Attend all staff training sessions and meetings.</p><p>16. Other duties as assigned.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><p>1. &nbsp;Must be a current Life University student.&nbsp;</p><p>2. &nbsp;Must be awarded Work Study funds.</p><p>3. &nbsp;Must have or be able to obtain a First Aid/CPR Certification.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Physical Demands &nbsp;</strong>&nbsp;</p><p>1. &nbsp;Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.</p><p>2. &nbsp;Standing or walking for at least 50% of the workday.</p></div></div></div></div>\n",
