Capability to pay close attention to what social service clients say, understand their points, ask questions, and not interrupt inappropriately. Understanding others' reactions and why they react the way they do. Ability to weigh the relative costs and benefits of various social service and health-care interventions and select the best one. Capable of performing a variety of tasks on a computer. Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint skills are required. Ability to remain calm and empathize with upset clients. Clinical social worker with a license.
