    "description": "<h2>The Opportunity</h2>\n<p><strong>RS&H is currently seeking a Principal Highway Engineer for our Transportation Practice in our Orlando, FL office!</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Job Summary:</strong> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The Senior Highway Engineer candidate will be responsible for managing the roadway/highway analysis and design, plans production, specifications, reports, and estimates efforts on large-scale conventional and design-build projects for FDOT and county clients. Additional responsibilities include client communication; managing subconsultants; mentoring roadway/highway staff; monitoring labor budgets and schedules for assigned projects; coordinating with discipline key task leaders and staff to ensure ongoing communications; performing quality control on deliverables; meeting project deliverable schedules and budgets for assigned projects; and leading/supporting marketing and business development initiatives.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Required Qualifications:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited university;</li>\n <li>Minimum 15 years of experience in roadway/highway engineering;</li>\n <li>Florida professional engineering (PE) registration;</li>\n <li>Experience managing conventional and design-build projects relating to intersections, arterials, interstates, and interchanges for FDOT and county clients;</li>\n <li>Working knowledge of MicroStation, Geopak, and/or OpenRoads Designer;</li>\n <li>Experience working with large multi-discipline teams;</li>\n <li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills;</li>\n <li>Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and overall quality control and management.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Has a diverse background in the management and delivery of both conventional Design-Bid-Build and alternative delivery Adjust Score Design-Build and/or Phased Design-Build projects.</li>\n <li>Has Engineer of Record experience in a wide variety of FDOT highway projects, including Limited Access Highways, Tolled Expressways, and Urban Arterial Reconstruction and Widenings.</li>\n <li>Has experience delivering FDOT District Wide and/or Continuing Services Contracts.</li>\n <li>Has well-established FDOT contacts within respective geography.</li>\n <li>Has identified and captured a variety of FDOT highway project solicitations.</li>\n <li>Has experience in complex interchange and/or alternative intersection design.</li>\n <li>Has capability to oversee and review work performed within Bentely OpenRoads Designer.</li>\n <li>Has managed and led a high performing highway team.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>If this sounds like the role for you and you're ready to join an amazing team, please apply.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong><em>An Equal Opportunity Employer.
