This role is accountable for preparing alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to company standards, maintaining a clean and organised bar area, ensuring compliance with alcohol laws, and creating a welcoming guest experience that supports overall restaurant profitability.</p><p>&nbsp;</p></td></tr><tr><td valign=\"top\" style=\"width: 100%;\"><p><strong>KEY PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong></p><p>&nbsp;</p><ul><li>Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to company recipes and standards</li><li>Maintain the cleanliness and organisation of the bar, bar top, wells, and back bar at all times</li><li>Accurately ring in all beverages and maintain proper cash and POS handling procedures</li><li>Verify guest identification and comply with all state and local alcohol service laws</li><li>Engage with guests in a friendly, professional manner to ensure a positive experience</li><li>Monitor guest alcohol consumption and responsibly refuse service when necessary</li><li>Follow proper handling, storage, and rotation of all beverage products</li><li>Communicate effectively with barbacks, servers, and management to support service flow</li><li>Assist with opening and closing bar duties</li><li>Participate in inventory counts and receiving beverage deliveries</li><li>Assist with special events, beach service, or tiki deck operations</li><li>Assist in training new bartenders or barbacks as directed by management</li><li>Perform other duties as assigned</li><li>Perform Oyster Shucking / Barback duties as needed</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p></td></tr><tr><td valign=\"top\" style=\"width: 100%;\"><p><strong>ACCOUNTABILITY:</strong></p><ul><li>Records: Staff will be responsible for all sales tickets and receipts. Lost sales tickets will be written up and lead to termination.&nbsp;</li><li>Safety: Staff are responsible for monitoring guest/owner alcohol consumption as well as proper food handling techniques and procedures. Staff are responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work environment and reporting any safety issues to management.&nbsp;</li><li>Customer Service: Responsible for making sure that all questions and requests made by guests/owners are addressed promptly and efficiently. Must achieve a high level of service with a focus on exceeding guest expectations.&nbsp;</li><li>Dept. Specific: Staff is responsible for meeting sales goals of the Food &amp; Beverage department. Bartenders are required to keep an active and consistent inventory and are accountable for variances in the beverage volumes and counts.
