Description
The Maintenance II will take hands-on lead in the installation, modification, design, maintenance, and repair of mechanical systems. This position will often lead a team of one or more Maintenance I on projects. This role will also assist in mentoring Maintenance I staff to ensure technical excellence and operational efficiency.
Primary Responsibilities:
Ensure safety of employees and equipment. Perform preventative and breakdown maintenance of equipment. Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs as necessary. Lead Maintenance I on projects as assigned Maintain inventory of equipment parts to prevent lost time of production and promote overall equipment effectiveness. Order parts, supplies, and equipment from catalogs and suppliers, or obtain them from storerooms. On call every other month. Workers may assist in handling product weighing up to 50 pounds and lifting to a height of 5 feet.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent. Driver's License strongly preferred. Experience or strong interest in repairs of small engines, pumps, generators, and related mechanical systems. Knowledge of basic hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical manuals, and wiring diagrams. Leadership experience or ability to lead/mentor junior staff (e.g., Maintenance I) on projects. Self-motivated with drive to improve processes, equipment, and structures. Team-oriented with strong communication and problem-solving skills. Welding and fabrication basics. Basic computer skills (e.g., CMMS, work orders, Microsoft Basics).
Performance Requirements:
Must maintain a level of performance equivalent to company standards, that being a “Meets Expectations” in all areas of your performance evaluations (including but not limited to, Self and Management reviews).
