    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Production Supervisor</span></p>\n<p>Production Management - Houston, TX</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Job Description</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Summary:  </span>Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Production Supervisor will plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the operations of the production department of the Houston plant.  </p>\n<p> <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Job Type:</span> Full-time, permanent (Crosby, TX)</p>\n<p> <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Schedule: </span> 12-hour shift 7AM-7PM or 7 PM-7AM, 7 days on /7 days off rotation</p>\n<p> <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Essential Duties and Responsibilities:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Lead a team of operators in the achievement of production targets.</li>\n<li>Manage the performance of their team members and offer the necessary coaching and feedback to promote positive employee behavior and constructive development.</li>\n<li>Develop and implement the necessary operational systems to support reliable, efficient, and cost-effective operations. Such systems include but not limited to: Operator and Production Scheduling, Overtime Scheduling, Continuous Improvement projects, Production Reporting, Inventory Tracking &amp; Control, 5S and Visual Factory, etc;</li>\n<li>Manage the Health and Safety program on their assigned shift and ensure that unsafe conditions and unsafe behaviors are quickly addressed.</li>\n<li>Monitor housekeeping and safety issues and react accordingly.</li>\n<li>Support the development of a quality management systems and manage the quality of the products manufactured on their shift.</li>\n<li>Facilitate the communication process on their shift including the establishment of beginning of shift team huddles.</li>\n<li>Plan, organize, communicate, and attend meetings (team and staff meetings)</li>\n<li>Perform other duties as required.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Experience:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Proven experience (5+ years) in operations management within a production or manufacturing environment.</li>\n<li>Strong knowledge of production processes, quality control methodologies, and supply chain management.</li>\n<li>Excellent leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.</li>\n<li>Analytical mindset and problem-solving abilities to identify operational bottlenecks and implement effective solutions.</li>\n<li>Proficient in using relevant software and tools for data analysis, production planning, and inventory management.</li>\n<li>Outstanding communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and suppliers.</li>\n<li>Strong commitment to workplace safety and regulatory compliance</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Qualifications:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>A successful track record in implementing and managing positive change.</li>\n<li>Effective leadership and people skills are required.</li>\n<li>Hands-on technical knowledge and troubleshooting skills required.</li>\n<li>Superior communication and interpersonal skills are essential as is organizational skills.</li>\n<li>Intermediate to advanced MS Applications skills especially in MS Excel required.</li>\n<li>Ability to work well with individuals from different backgrounds and skills at various levels in the organization.</li>\n<li>Effective time management, job task planning and organizing.</li>\n<li>Critical thinker and analytical decision maker who is also a creative, solution-oriented individual who can think out of the box and thrives in an innovative environment.</li>\n<li>Exhibits strong initiative, needs little to no supervision and direction, highly organized and takes pride in their work.</li>\n<li>Ability to always maintain a professional disposition, especially when under pressure.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Physical Requirements:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>May be required to bend, squat, kneel, or stand for long periods.</li>\n<li>May be required to lift up to 25 lbs.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Benefits:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>401(k) matching</li>\n<li>Dental/Health/Vision insurance (shared premiums with employer)</li>\n<li>Paid Vacation &amp; 8 paid Holidays</li>\n<li>Short Term Disability</li>\n<li>Life Insurance</li>\n<li>Safety boot allowance</li>\n<li>Prescription Safety glass allowance</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Work Location:</span> In person at our Crosby, TX plant</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>North West Rubber has been in business for 50+ years.
