    "description": "<h2>Position Description</h2>\n<p>Valiant Solutions is seeking a<strong> Secret-cleared</strong><strong> Tier 1 DCO Watch Analyst</strong> to join our rapidly growing and innovative cybersecurity team!</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The Tier 1 Defensive Cyber Operations (DCO) Analyst will be responsible for the continuous monitoring and initial triage of security events within a Cybersecurity Service Provider (CSSP) environment. If you are interested in learning more about Valiant and this opportunity, we invite you to apply now!</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Location:</strong> This position is 100% onsite in Charleston, SC or Honolulu, HI</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Shift:</strong> Four ten-hour shifts (Sunday - Wednesday or Wednesday - Saturday).</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Clearance Required: </strong> Active Secret </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Education Requirement: </strong>Bachelor’s Degree Area(s) of Study in a relevant technical discipline OR3+ years equivalent experience</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Certification Required:</strong> DoD 8570 IAT Level II and CSSP-specific certifications, CND and 8140.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Required Experience:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>3+ years of experience working in CSSP, SOC, or similar environment, <strong>OR</strong>, Bachelor’s degree in relevant technical field.</li>\n <li>Must have DoD 8570 IAT Level II and CSSP-specific certifications.</li>\n <li>Experience with Log Aggregation Tools (e.g., Splunk, Elastic, Sentinel) preferred.</li>\n <li>Experience with IDS/IPS, host-based, and operating system logging solutions.</li>\n <li>Knowledge of Incident Response methodologies and procedures strongly preferred.</li>\n <li>Experience with digital forensics, threat hunting, and/or incident response desired.</li>\n <li>Familiarity with CJCSM 6510.01B.</li>\n <li>Analytical ability and strong verbal and written communication skills required.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Monitor network and host-based systems.</li>\n <li>Identify and validate of suspicious activities.</li>\n <li>Escalate security incidents as required.</li>\n <li>Provide support for foundational incident response procedures.</li>\n <li>Comply with established reporting requirements with accuracy and timelines.</li>\n <li>Assist in managing incident response by documenting and tracking details.</li>\n <li>Participate in training to develop familiarity with tools and processes.</li>\n <li>Support log correlation tasks using tools like Splunk, Elastic, and Sentinel.</li>\n <li>Assist in program reviews and product evaluations as directed</li>\n <li>Surge support may be required to support incident response actions.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Equal Employment Opportunity</strong></p>\n<p>Valiant Solutions is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
