Description

Clinical Applications Specialist, Ultrasound Radiology (Texas) Territory: Primarily Texas with occasional travel elsewhere Travel: This position requires up to 75% travel which may include some weekends Who We Are Samsung HME America (Healthcare and Medical Equipment) is Samsung’s U.S. medical imaging organization, delivering advanced diagnostic solutions across Ultrasound, Digital Radiography, and Computed Tomography. We lead nationwide sales, marketing, service, and distribution of Samsung’s imaging technologies, partnering with healthcare providers to strengthen diagnostic capabilities, streamline clinical workflows, and support better patient care. Samsung HME America also serves as the global manufacturing center for Samsung’s mobile Computed Tomography (mCT) business, leading the development of advanced CT systems used by healthcare providers worldwide. Role Description Responsible for providing clinical and technical expertise during the sales process for Ultrasound. Work closely with assigned Sales Representatives, Dealers, and Channel Sales Manager to support the growth and needs of the business. Experience supporting Radiology Commercial Market. Key duties and responsibilities, other duties may be assigned: Customer Service, Sales & Marketing Support Deliver clinical and technical instruction during the ultrasound sales cycle and post-sale process to internal and external customers, including on-site visits with physicians and sonographers. Conduct professional ultrasound product demonstrations and post-installation training to customers’ clinical staff. Persuasively demonstrate and communicate the clinical and operational advantages of the system to end-users, influencing purchasing decisions and driving adoption through consultative selling and expertise. Provide clinical and technical support at trade shows and professional conferences. Collaborate with the product management and service teams to share field feedback and improve product performance. Support the sales and service teams with clinical expertise and customer engagement strategies. Monitor customer satisfaction post-installation and proactively address concerns. Ensure escalation situations are managed and resolved promptly and professionally. Assist with basic on-site troubleshooting to resolve service-related issues quickly. Perform other duties as assigned. Reporting and Administration Responsible for booking travel and filing expense reports in a timely manner. Responsible for completing customer demo and installation documentation in Salesforce. Conduct & Personal Development Maintain current knowledge in relevant clinical and technical fields. Represent the company professionally and maintain a positive attitude. Complete all required training courses and maintain all required certifications. Gain comprehensive knowledge of the company’s product portfolio and competitor offerings to effectively position and promote our solutions. Manage time effectively and make sound business decisions. Follow all company policies regarding travel, expenses, and equipment handling. Qualifications and Requirements: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Education, Skills & Experience RDMS certification required; must possess excellent knowledge of the technical and clinical aspects of diagnostic ultrasound. RVT required. RDCS certification desired. 6-10 years of clinical ultrasound experience in General Imaging, Vascular, OB/GYN, Point of Care, and Musculoskeletal is required. Experience with Elastography, Fusion, and CEUS a plus. Must be able to be compliant with hospital credentialing requirements. Skilled in 2D and Color Doppler across applications. Prior commercial experience as a Clinical Applications Specialist in the Radiology Market is preferred. Strong market knowledge and competitive mindset. Strong presentation skills and the ability to perform clinical and product training to all levels of customers. Must be self-motivated, results-oriented and team-focused. Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, demanding environment. Computer & Analytic Skills Must be excellent with technology , able to present using a laptop and able demonstrate proficiency with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Internet Explorer, and Google Chrome Competencies & Skills Attention to Detail: Maintains accuracy and thoroughness in all tasks and deliverables. Clinical Communication: Demonstrates strong understanding of medical terminology and communicates effectively across teams and stakeholders. Organizational Skills: Prioritizes and manages multiple tasks to ensure consistent productivity and timely results. Team Collaboration: Builds and sustains strong working relationships; contributes positively to a collaborative environment. Reliability: Dependable, punctual, and committed to meeting deadlines and performance goals. Problem Solving: Evaluates situations, identifies key factors, and makes sound decisions under pressure. Self-Motivation: Proactively seeks opportunities for learning and professional growth; leverages available resources for development. Adaptability: Responds effectively to changing priorities and directives; willing to take on tasks outside normal scope when needed. Travel Requirements Willingness to travel internationally, overnight, and on weekends with 75% travel required Must have a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record; background and drug testing (pre‑ and post‑employment) is required Physical Requirements Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. Must be able to sit and/or drive for long periods of time when travelling. Must be able to stand for long periods of time (8-15 hours) for multiple days. The noise level in the work environment is occasionally very loud. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
