Join our Environment and Health department as our new Senior Managing Consultant and work with us to close the gap to a sustainable future.</p><p>Ramboll is seeking candidates for a Senior Managing Consultant position supporting our global Compliance, Strategy and Transactions (CST) and M&amp;A / Transactional Due Diligence practice. &#xa0;The position as the CST Regional Lead for Canada would ideally be based in our Mississauga, Ontario office, with remote and hybrid (office/home) options available. <u>Consulting experience is required for this position.</u></p><p><strong>Your new role</strong></p><p>Our new Senior Managing Consultant will have significant consulting experience (12 years+) in the Canadian environmental consulting industry conducting/managing Phase I environmental site assessments, merger and acquisition portfolio assessments, compliance audits of complex industrial facilities and assisting clients with maintaining and achieving environmental regulatory compliance.&#xa0; Ramboll has a small and very capable group of environmental compliance staff, and this senior role would be responsible for developing and leading a robust CST practice across Canada, working in close collaboration with senior CST practitioners across the United States and globally.&#xa0;</p><p>Your key responsibilities will include:</p><ul><li>Managing and coordinating environmental due diligence and compliance reviews/auditing projects for industrial, private equity, and legal clients.</li><li>Developing proposals and cost estimates for transactional due diligence and compliance projects and managing project budgets and Client deliverables.</li><li>Liaising with subject matter experts regarding other services, such as health &amp; safety auditing, climate risk, ESG, and PFAS.</li><li>Leading and mentoring a dynamic group of junior and intermediate staff.</li><li>Conducting independent technical analyses and directing technical analyses of others.</li><li>Independently preparing draft work products and reviewing/editing work products of others.</li></ul><ul><li>Serving as a trusted advisor to clients, guiding them through various regulatory and compliance landscapes to assist in reducing environmental risk, achieve compliance, and embedding best practices into their operations.&#xa0;</li></ul><ul><li>Managing national and global projects, ensuring safety, efficiency, and excellence.</li><li>Delivering training, in-field coaching, and impactful presentations.</li><li>Building and maintaining strong client relationships, driving repeat business and long-term partnerships.</li><li>Collaborating across Ramboll’s global network to share best practices and innovative solutions.</li></ul><p><strong>Your new team</strong></p><p>As part of the team, you will be part of a creative group, filled with people who are excited about solving clients’ problems and creating sustainable solutions for them. Master's degree preferred.</li></ul><ul><li>12+ years of EHS experience in consulting, with exposure across Canada.</li><li>Registered as a Certified Lead Auditor in Canada (preferred but not essential).</li><li>Strong understanding of Canadian EHS regulatory requirements, including Quebec.</li><li>Strong understanding of, and experience conducting, Phase I environmental site assessments (ESAs) meeting the requirements of the CSA Standard (CSA Z768-01 [R2022]), various provincial regulatory driven Phase I ESAs and the ASTM Phase I ESA Standard (ASTM E1527-21).</li><li>Experience providing transactional due diligence services to support the acquisition/divestiture of industrial businesses, providing strategic advice to clients related to the contemplated transaction; and conducting and leading EHS auditing compliance services to industrial clients.</li><li>Exceptional communication skills—able to engage senior leaders and frontline teams alike.</li><li>Willingness to travel, Driver's License Required: This position requires a valid driver's license due to the nature of job requirements, which will include occasional travel to various client locations across Canada.</li><li>Working knowledge of the French language preferred but not essential.</li><li>Ability to manage complex projects independently and collaboratively, often in a fast-paced transactional environment.</li></ul><p><strong>What we can offer you</strong></p><ul><li>Interesting and diverse projects</li><li>The opportunity to work with some of the best and brightest professionals in your field</li><li>Flexible work arrangements</li><li>Generous Paid Time Off</li><li>Excellent health and retirement benefits</li><li>Investment in your development</li><li>Leaders you can count on, guided by our Leadership Principles</li><li>Appreciation for the unique person you are</li><li>The long-term thinking of a foundation-owned company</li><li>Inspiration from colleagues, clients, and projects</li></ul><p><strong>Salary Transparency</strong></p><p>Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several Canada geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The Canada pay range for this position is 130,000 – 160,000 CAD annually and does not include bonuses, overtime or other forms of compensation or benefits. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
