In 2018, Glatfelter joined American International Group (AIG) and is now part of the AIG family.</p><p><strong>About the Position</strong></p><p>Glatfelter Insurance Group is seeking an <strong>Underwriting Education Analyst</strong> for our Glatfelter Underwriting Services Department who will take an ownership role in the effective creation, deployment, and maintenance of Glatfelter Insurance Group&rsquo;s underwriting training program. &nbsp;Working closely with subject matter experts in underwriting, risk control, actuarial, analytics, product development, claims, IT, and operations, the successful candidate gathers topic details and determines the appropriate format for translation into training materials. &nbsp;The Underwriting Education Analyst is responsible for building the formal curricula of the underwriting production and underwriting support functions in order to advance technical and professional knowledge as well as provide greater assistance in the advancement of associates&rsquo; careers.</p><p>This position is required to be onsite at our Leader Heights, York, PA office.</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Deliver curricula for underwriting production and underwriting support teams across Glatfelter Insurance Group, leveraging the expertise of Corporate Underwriting experts to build a robust and relevant training platform.</li><li>Design, build, and maintain training materials and job aids that assist Associates with a wide variety of topics, including, but not limited to: underwriting thought process, pricing, coverage considerations, industry trends, and new business production.</li><li>Partner with leadership to build best practice-based training schedules for onboarding, general education, and career path planning.</li><li>Support deployment of training sessions, case studies, and workshops by coordinating with leadership and subject matter experts.</li><li>Research, with Learning &amp; Development, training delivery methods to optimize effectiveness.</li><li>Travel up to 10% may be required.</li></ul><p><strong>What We&rsquo;re Looking For</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree preferred&nbsp;</li><li>P&amp;C insurance industry designations (e.g. INS, CPCU, ARM, AIC) or exam progress</li><li>Minimum of three (3) years property and casualty commercial lines experience required</li><li>Underwriting, Risk Control, or Claims experience highly preferred</li><li>Working knowledge of the underwriting process and timelines</li><li>Working knowledge of all core P&amp;C lines of business, as well as A&amp;H</li><li>Very strong communication and presentation skills</li><li>Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks. &nbsp; Takes initiative and maintains a sense of ownership in projects in-flight.</li><li>Maintains a high level of confidentiality and professional demeanor in the performance of duties</li><li>Ability to make decisions within scope of authority</li><li>Ability to cope with stressful situations.</li><li>Demonstrate high proficiency with Microsoft Word &amp; PowerPoint and proficient with Excel.</li></ul><p><strong>Why Choose Glatfelter?</strong></p><p>Glatfelter is honored to have been named a Best Place to Work in PA since 2005.
