    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\"><span><strong>Position Title: Construction Accountant&nbsp;</strong></span></p><p style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\"><span><strong>Location: Dallas, TX&nbsp;</strong></span></p><p style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">&nbsp;</p><p style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">&nbsp;</p><p><span><strong>Your role&nbsp;</strong></span></p><p><span>The Construction Accountant will be responsible for overseeing financial aspects of construction projects, ensuring accurate cost tracking, forecasting, and reporting. This role supports project managers, finance leadership and joint venture partnerships by providing insights into budget performance, cost forecasting variances, and financial risks across multiple large-scale construction portfolio spanning the Asia Pacific, Europe-Middle East, and Americas regions.</span></p><p><span>In this role, you will partner with project and asset management, financial planning &amp; analysis, cross-regional accounting teams, and a variety of other stakeholders to align Construction Accounting in delivering towards key organizational objectives at the global level.</span></p><p style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\"><span><strong>What you’ll do&nbsp;</strong></span></p><p style=\"background-color: white;\"><span style=\"color: rgb(51, 51, 51);\">The Construction Accountant II will report to the Construction Accounting Manager and will be responsible for the following (not all inclusive):</span></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li><span>Monitor and analyze project budgets, actual costs, and forecasts to ensure financial accuracy and accountability.</span></li><li><span>Prepare and present monthly cost reports, variance analyses, and cash flow forecast for various entities including, but not limited to, joint venture partnerships.</span></li><li><span>Collaborate with project managers to review budget-to-actual performance and identify process improvement opportunities.</span></li><li><span>Maintain and update project cost tracking systems, including ERP and other financial reporting tools.</span></li><li><span>Participate in month-end and quarter-end close processes, including cost accruals, account reconciliations, and other necessary journal entries.</span></li><li><span>Ensure compliance with US and local GAAP and internal financial policies.</span></li><li><span>Support internal and external audit activities as required</span></li><li><span>Coordinate with external vendors and contractors to validate invoices and integrate costs into project budgets.</span></li><li><span>Lead continuous improvement initiatives in cost control processes and reporting tools.</span></li></ul><p style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\"><span><strong>What you’ll need</strong></span></p><p style=\"background-color: white;\"><span style=\"color: rgb(51, 51, 51);\">To be a good fit for the Construction Accountant II opportunity you will have:</span></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li><span>Bachelor’s degree in accounting is required</span></li><li><span>0-2 years of progressive accounting experience</span></li><li><span>Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, SUMIF, etc.).</span></li><li><span>Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.</span></li><li><span>Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.</span></li><li>Some understanding of construction project lifecycle, retainage, and billing methods is a plus.</li><li><span>Yardi ERP experience preferred, but not required</span></li></ul><p style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\">&nbsp;</p><p style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in;\"><span><strong>A bit about us</strong></span></p><p style=\"line-height: normal; margin-bottom: 0in; text-align: justify;\"><span>Digital Realty brings companies and data together by delivering the full spectrum of data center, colocation and interconnection solutions.
