The Field Validation Engineer is responsible for a wide variety of duties </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The Autonomous Field Validation Engineer is responsible for a wide variety of tasks such as integration and commissioning of autonomy hardware, deploying, testing, and tuning autonomous vehicle software.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>This position This position does require the ability to perform Fly In Fly Out (FIFO) 8/6 rosters and/or Drive In Drive Out (DIDO) operations at mine sites or at our test facility in Neerabup.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>As a Field Validation Engineer your role will include the following responsibilities; </p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Work safely within bound of site requirements along with follow instructions from Hexagon Site superintendent, Customer S26, and Autonomous Field Engineering Test Lead</li>\n <li>Integrate, debug, and commission drive-by-wire and autonomy softwareWork in-field, FIFO, deploying and testing autonomous vehicle software and dynamic controls systems</li>\n <li>Perform test execution for new firmware, software, or hardware</li>\n <li>Deploy software on embedded Linux controllers</li>\n <li>Develop test instructions for vehicle operators</li>\n <li>Regular reporting and discussions with NPI development teams to debug issues, provide product improvement suggestions</li>\n <li>Record test data and any relevant notes in test record system (Jira)</li>\n <li>Analyze, coordinate, and perform failure analysis activities to identify root cause of defects identified during testing</li>\n <li>Act independently with minimal supervision to conduct data collection and complete required vehicle performance tests</li>\n <li>Contribute to customer documentation and training material for various software applications</li>\n <li>Assist customers with configuration and ongoing usability of system hardware and software</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>About you</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>We are looking for a Field Engineer/Software Engineer/Test Engineer with experience in the development and application of AHS solutions for mine site operations. This opportunity will offer a unique chance to join a worlds 1st in the evolving landscape of autonomous application in the mining sector. In addition we are seeking those with the following qualifications and skills;</p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree in an relative engineering discipline , software or relevant discipline</li>\n <li>Prior experience across GPS sensors or raders for vehicle or autonomous AHS applications</li>\n <li>Prior experience in software architecure design and middleware protocols e.g DDS</li>\n <li>Knowledge and skilled in C++ OR Objective-C programming languages</li>\n <li>Prior experience with Linux, OS would be desired</li>\n <li>Ability to be agile and adaptable to fast changing requirements</li>\n <li>Experienced in troubleshooting, problem solving in a testing/application environment within AHS or autonomous application within mining operations</li>\n <li>Valid Australian working rights: Permanent Resident or Australian Citizen</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Not sure if you meet all the qualifications for this role?
