Description
Description
Oracle’s Global Physical Security (GPS) Systems Team is responsible for securing the corporation’s global datacenter and facility footprint through advanced Physical Access and Identity Management (PIAM) technologies. We are seeking a seasoned Technical Program Manager – Rack Level Protection.
Oracle’s Global Physical Security (GPS) Systems Team is dedicated to protecting critical corporate and cloud infrastructure across the globe. We are seeking a skilled Technical Program Manager to lead the end-to-end strategy, development, and evolution of Oracle’s Rack Level Protection platforms, vital to safeguarding the physical and logical assets housed within Oracle’s data centers. The ideal candidate has extensive experience coordinating the design, deployment, and lifecycle management of rack-level security systems in high-availability, hyperscale environments, as well as a passion for innovating through automation and improving operational efficiency.
As platform owner, you will direct the global roadmap for rack-level access controls and sensors, oversee secure integration with monitoring and alarm systems, and ensure continual compliance with both Oracle’s and external regulatory requirements. You will collaborate with data center engineering teams, vendors, compliance managers, and security operations to deliver seamless, reliable, and auditable rack-level protection across Oracle’s rapidly evolving global estate.
Responsibilities
SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY, IMPACT OF DECISIONS, AND DEGREE OF SUPERVISION:
Serving as the global functional and technical authority for rack-level security, you will set and execute strategy, develop roadmaps, and manage the end-to-end product lifecycle with considerable autonomy. Your decisions will directly impact Oracle’s security posture, regulatory compliance, and operational resilience across all critical data center sites worldwide.
Set standards and drive adoption for all rack-level security devices and workflows. Make policy recommendations and strategic decisions for scalable deployment, monitoring, and support models. Provide executive-level visibility and escalation support for risk, incidents, and compliance matters. Collaborate cross-functionally with GPS, data center, engineering, compliance, and operations leaders.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop, communicate, and maintain the global strategy and technical roadmap for rack-level protection systems in Oracle data centers. Lead the integration of rack-level security devices with physical access management, environmental monitoring, and SOC/SIEM solutions, leveraging automation/APIs to streamline reporting and alerting. Oversee global deployments—partnering with regional teams and vendors to ensure standardized implementation, maintenance, and support, as well as continuous improvement. Implement and manage automated monitoring, audit, and alerting tools to maintain high reliability and rapid response to faults or incidents. Ensure rack-level security systems, protocols, and processes meet or exceed corporate policy, regulatory, and audit requirements. Analyze incident and system health data to drive root cause analysis, risk mitigation, and operational improvements. Own vendor relationships: manage contracts, evaluate new products, and pilot innovations that enhance security or automate processes. Produce and maintain technical and procedural documentation—covering device standards, installation and escalation playbooks, audit records, and compliance artifacts. Measure and report key performance indicators such as system uptime, incident response times, compliance gaps, and continuous improvement initiatives to leadership.
KEY SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Engineering, Security, Information Systems, or related technical field. Advanced degree preferred. Minimum of 10 years’ experience in program or product management for critical infrastructure or physical security systems, with specific depth in rack-level protection, access control, or data center hardware. Hands-on expertise deploying, configuring, and maintaining rack-level security technologies (e.g., DRCC, Butterfly, smart locks, audit sensors, or similar) and integrating with enterprise PIAM, BMS, or SOC/SIEM solutions. Networking skills must be strong. Certification: CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional) or equivalent is required. Strong understanding of regulatory and compliance mandates affecting physical and logical data center security (SOC 2, ISO 27001, PCI DSS, GDPR, etc.). Extensive vendor management experience, including contract negotiation, SLA enforcement, and performance oversight. Experience with security and operational analytics platforms, developing dashboards, reports, and automated alerting. Familiarity with cloud-based infrastructure services, remote management protocols (REST APIs, SNMP), and device hardening practices. Superior communication, documentation, and leadership skills to influence stakeholders at all organizational levels. Demonstrated ability to drive process improvement, reduce manual effort, and deliver measurable increases in system reliability and efficiency. #LI-DNI
